Anthony Montgomery Angry about demotion
I read the article below about top 10 trades that need to happen and it mentions this tidbit:
"5. DT Anthony Montgomery to the Panthers: Ever since the Panthers lost mountain man Maake Kemoeatu at defensive tackle, GM Marty Hurney has been looking for a big replacement. Washington's Montgomery is 6-foot-6, 320 pounds and very unhappy about being demoted from the starting lineup with the arrival of Albert Haynesworth. " Is this true? What do you guys think? do you make a trade and if so for what? I say no cause Griffin only has like a year left in him and Montgomery is the future. NFL - - FOX Sports on MSN

Re: Anthony Montgomery Angry about demotion
Actually the article says he is very unhappy, not angry.
All he has to do is play his ass off and make the Skins realize they can live without Griffin next year. |

Re: Anthony Montgomery Angry about demotion
Wasn't there an article a few days ago about Montgomery and Golsten, stating that they were both taking their backup roles in stride? That's a far cry from being very unhappy.

Re: Anthony Montgomery Angry about demotion
Besides, Monty isn't going to the Panthers. Late yesterday they traded for Cleveland's DT for an undisclosed pick.

Re: Anthony Montgomery Angry about demotion
Yeah they said Monty said he was a bit upset at first, but then embraced the role.

Re: Anthony Montgomery Angry about demotion
Yeah, but it definitely seemed like Monty wasn't exactly thrilled about it. I don't know, the tone of his quotes kind of came off like he wasn't really pleased that he won't be in the lineup as much.

Re: Anthony Montgomery Angry about demotion
There's a silver lining in this story, although it's all just speculation; we have enough depth that such a trade can even be considered.

Yes there was and these reporters just look for stuff to write about because they have pages they have to fill with something.

Yupp, I like the depth so we can keep people rotating. Word is that AH is getting winded and is not in the best of shape.

Re: Anthony Montgomery Angry about demotion
We have 3 good DTs and one stud. Keep a rotation going so we can keep these guys fresh. Don't trade Montgomery away.

Re: Anthony Montgomery Angry about demotion
If he is upset then maybe he can work harder to improve and give the coaches no option but to play or start him. There is no entitlement other than earning the position.

Re: Anthony Montgomery Angry about demotion
I like that he's upset! It shows that he cares. It shows that he wants to be the best around here. He better not demand a trade though! He better prove to all of us why he thinks he's better than Haynesworth. It won't be that hard either. All he has to do is bellyflop Romo ONCE! Knock that gay grin off his face! THATS IT!
