Riggo

I think they're a lot more similar personality wise than either wants to admit. But, in a way, I thought part of this was more a shot at CP's current teammates than Riggo.

Hey Lotus,
How did the party go?? Any inside scoop?
Quote:
For past birthdays, Clinton Portis has bought himself a Maybach, bought himself a Ferrari, and thrown a $200,000 weekend's worth of parties that included a rooftop Kennedy Center gathering, a dinner at Zola featuring truffled spaetzle and parlor games, and a private gathering at Lotus

Portis said the same thing last year.

Portis = Riggo = Prima Donna.

CP does have a point though.

As long as Portis keeps playing at a high level he can squabble with Riggo and play dress up just as long as his antics remain pretty harmless.

Portis really is an idiot. I don't think he even realizes that he's insulting his teammates with this non-sense. Though he'll probably give some Jermaine Dupri type explanation about it tomorrow.

For those who don't know this is how Jermaine Dupri explained himself in regards to the Pacman video

"I’m from a city where in Atlanta, we do this every day,” Dupri said. “You’ll hear this in Jeezy records. When Jeezy say he spends $10,000 on one song? That s**t is for real man. It aint no play.”

“A lot of yall comment on how stupid it is. It might be stupid to you, but this is what we do,” Dupri continued. “We eat, we kick it, we throw money. Don’t make this one situation blow the whole thing out.”

In short I'm banking on Portis saying something almost as stupid as this trash of a quote.

Portis knows he's insulting his line. He did it last year. It's just how he feels. And if anyone thinks this line is the Hogs, they are out of their mind, so to that point, he is right. He still will run for 1500+ yds behind them, and we all will deal with his diva type comments.

Move along, nothing to see here....

If Portis will just keep his ramblings to off-field stuff and not throw his coaches and teammates under the bus he can say whatever he wants. If he continues to produce solid numbers and comes up with a SB or two here, he'll be on the same level with Riggo in DC and have a strong case for the HoF.

Ever since Portis arrived in D.C., he's been putting both feet in his mouth; he criticized Gibbs' playcalling in 2004, he criticized the line in 2008, he openly criticized Zorn last year, he criticized his line again this year, and so on. He's a damn fine running back and I would not go so far as to say he's become a problem, but he is getting annoying.

Sometimes, I wonder how things would be different had we drafted Adrian Peterson instead of Landry.

All I gotta say is Landry better step up this year. I get the feeling sometimes he is just coasting off his ridiculous raw talents.

He was right to criticize JG's playcalling. Seriously, he does go a bit overboard sometimes.

All he's got to do is to complement John Riggins a little then move on. He keeps talking and talking.

But listen Riggins is a bit off and comes off as a grumpy old man alot. He doesn't give CP any credit at all. There both crazy.

I knew that was coming...yeah, he donated $200,000 to the Lotus Foundation. Sadly, it was Monopoly cash.

I don't see anything wrong with what Portis said. I actually think he handled it pretty well. He never disrespected Riggo at all and even recognized how great Riggo was.

Who doesn't insult our O-line? Campbell and Zorn have both said comments about the O-line being an issue.

Every person on this site thinks the O-line is an issue
