You're right. I will never forget. Does that make you proud to be a Redskin fan or what?

Re: "The Quarter"

I remebmer the terrible, sinking feeling I had when elway threw that bomb, and boom, we're down 10-0.

Then like a connection of electric wires, D. Williams et al just crushed the broncos in every way. The late Pete Axhelm (sp?) said it best after this game, paraphrasing; 'sometimes super bowls are like heavyweight fights. Each team is swinging as hard as they can. If they miss they get knocked out.'

see my earlier post, this quarter should've been dubbed the "TKO Quarter"

That's it folks, enjoy the halftime show, then we'll present the Lombardi!

Re: "The Quarter"

The first and still the greatest Super Bowl I ever watched. You can tell it means a lot to me...look to the left.

Re: "The Quarter"

On the play that Williams got hurt late in the 1st quarter, at the time I thought that the refs blew the whistle early. Williiams fumbled the ball as he writhed in pain, yet he was never downed by a defender. Thankfully, the ref on the scene blew the play dead, or Denver would have had the ball deep in Skins territory, already up 10-0. The injury (and seeing Schroeder QB the next series) seemed to break Williams out of his funk, and the rest was a quarter for the ages. No team will EVER amass 350+ yards in a quarter - pre-season, regular season, or post-season. It may have been the most perfect football ever played.
