Annointing a new Face of the Franchise
Lavar held that title for awhile. Then came Clinton. So does #26 still hold that distinction or has it finally moved on to another player? I wish i could make this a vote thread. It seems when u mention the Redskins nowadays Campbell's name always comes up. Is he the man? Coach Zorn, who's name is written all over the offense? How about Cooley who has arguably one of the largest fan clubs on the team? Personally i'd prefer it to be a defensive player but i have trouble on the "who" part. So which player (Zorn is an exception) do u think of first when you hear the name Redskins?

Re: Annointing a new Face of the Franchise
I don't think Zorn or Campbell qualify since both are probably gone if the season doesn't meet expectations.
I think it is definitely still Portis although, personally, I think London Fletcher is the team leader. |

It's still Portis. Cooley comes close though.

Re: Annointing a new Face of the Franchise
I gotta say CP26.
The defense has great guys/names, but they are great as a unit... Portis has been our offense for a while now & has that name/personality everyone in football recognizes.

It won't take long for Fat Albert and Rocky Rackpo to become the face of this team.

Re: Annointing a new Face of the Franchise
I think possibly Cooley. I don't know about CP, I think some people consider him a bit of a diva. Campbell could become the face of the franchise if he does well this year. The same can be said of Zorn, but we'll just ahve to see.

Re: Annointing a new Face of the Franchise
I think the fact that it's not totally obvious to us tells us that we don't really have a "face of the franchise."
Patriots... Brady. Colts... Manning. Eagles... McNabb. Bears... Urlacher. We don't have a guy who jumps out at you as soon as you hear the team mentioned.

Re: Annointing a new Face of the Franchise
Well its definitely still Portis but Cooley and Campbell are definitely up there. Haynesworth could also take a big spot if he is a beast. And of course Sean Taylor will be up there for awhile.
