It's official KW II out for season
CNN reported today that Mr. bashful Kellen Winslow II needs more surgery to stablize ligaments in his broken leg.
CNN said, "Cleveland Browns rookie tight end Kellen Winslow needs a second operation on his right leg and will miss the remainder of this season. Winslow, who broke his leg during a loss on Sept. 19 in Dallas and had it operated on last week, will have surgery Wednesday to stabilize ligaments. Winslow, the No. 6 overall pick in this year's draft, was initially expected to be out for at least eight to 10 weeks but will now need longer to recover. "Our No. 1 concern is Kellen's health and his long-term contribution to the Cleveland Browns," head coach Butch Davis said in a statement Tuesday. "We know he will approach his rehabilitation with the same determination that he shows on the football field and look forward to his return for the 2005 season." |

WOW!!! The injury pill is pretty bitter this season. So many good players have been hit hard by injuries.
This might be one of the first season in a long time that so many impact players were injured this soon & at this large of an infermery. I just hope Lavar will not lose anymore time, he's the driving pulse in this D! Last game was proof of that.

...even though we're kind of rough on KWII here at the Warpath on a pretty regular basis, I just wanna say that I do hope he recovers well. He is a talented player and he is going to make a difference on the Browns in years to come.
P.S.- DANGIT, NO ST vs. KWII MATCHUP

Yeah, it seems like there are lots of serious season ending injuries early this year.
Tough for KW II. Maybe it will teach him some humility? If that kid gets his head on straight, the sky's the limit. We'll see.

No joke! What's up with all the injuries. Me and my friends were talking about this the other day and it just seems like there are more injuries and more serious injuries. It could just be the fact that these guys are getting so much faster and so much stronger that these kind of injuries are just the result. But it's still kind of unbelievable, especially for the Browns. ![]()

I think the NFL should really think about letting teams have more guys on the roster and on gameday. The injuries this year are just rediculous.

yeah hard not to notice all the injuries, its still september. at this rate the punters and kickers will be all thats left come december..
sports technology needs to make some much needed leaps in protection for these guys, theres got to be some new light and tough materials that could prevent some of this stuff. |

You guys act like KWII is the anti-christ, but he has exactly the same temperment as Portis. Guys that coime out of Miami are COCKY. We know this, it's how the breed them. ST is cocky, Portis is cocky, everyone is cocky. KWII is a great player and I was looking forward to seeing what he could do.
I would love to see him in a skins uniform, but certainly not more than our own #36. |

cocky and bitchy are different though
![]() i've lost RBs QBs and WRs left and right in FF ![]() seriously though... the browns are missing their #1 RB, #1 and #2 CB, 2 DL starters, their top draft pick/starting TE... jeez... a power running offense with a bottom 5 O line and a backup RB... and KWII not only lost offensive rookie of the year, but something like $5.3mill as well (since he can't be in for 35% of the snaps now), talked about getting screwed... |

Joe Gibbs probably did lie to him, That guy. It's not rare for a team to say "yeah, we'll take you!" and then not. ie Cowboys and Randy Moss (thank god)

whether he misled him or not (none of us were there), calling JG a liar is about as stupid a thing as you can do, and then spending your entire post draft press conference bitching about how washington didn't pick you?? then before playing an nfl snap complains about how his team isn't very good and he thinks he could do their jobs better (make me a defensive end coach)... he's cocky, but he's also arrogant and selfish; i don't like that.
