To All Those Doubters

To all those who bashed Gardner, demanded his trade and head on a stick.

He showed why he's the truth. If you never understood before he is a big possesion reciever, that means the more he gets the ball the better he gets. I may be the only one but I think Gibbs needs give him the ball more especially with Coles big toe problems. He still as good as he 's ever been and to let him go we would be kicking ourselves in the butt later. Also we should of ran the ball more, portis started getting a rhythm later in the game and was getting good yards

Gardner's big problem has been inconsistency (hence the 50/50 nickname). He had a great game last night and proved something, but he needs to keep it up....not necessarily the big numbers, but prove he's dependable. Also, keep in mind that the main reason people wanted to trade (not cut) him was because he had decent trade value and our WR corps is deep. I was one of the ones pulling for benching him for McCants, but he proved last night that the job is his, and he's not gonna just let it slip away. Great job RG! Keep it up!

Hey, Im happy- Gardner single handedly won me a game in fantasy $$ league this week.

But yeah, its about consistency, not just one big game. If I recall, he had a huge game last year as well.

Gardner won me my Free League game

He had a great game no doubt, but let's see where he goes from here.

He needs to play like this week in and week out. He showed again why he was a high draft pick. Let's hope he keeps it going, because it will really help Coles, Thrash, Cooley, Portis, etc. in the passing game.

Was this his best game as a skin?

He was great last night...in a loss. However, they could be 2-1 right now if he cought that easy TD pass last week against the Giants. So lets not send in the Hall fo Fame ballots just yet...

We definitely should have run the ball more. To have 4 yards per carry against the Cowboys means you're doing something, Portis should have gotten the ball more. I'm really tired of 3 passes and out.

I agree. I think Gibbs was trying to pass to open it up for the run, but it just wasn't working, especially early on. Then we got behind, and had to pass more. If half of the incompletions in the first half were caught, the game would have been completely different. Still, 94 rushing yards against the Dallas D is something....

Gardner looked great. I advocated trading him during the offseason if we could address a more important need with him. However, I've always liked Gardner. He still has a lot of work to do. He did this this game, can he do it on a consistant basis? I'm not expecting 2 TDs and 200yards every game, but can he make plays? Like someone above said, he needs to see the ball more to play like that.

Gardner needs to show some consistency, thats about it. He has all the ability to be a great #2 receiver...
