Davis hurt

Stephen Davis is out again. Everything that went right for the Panthers last year seems to be going wrong!

Starter will miss 2-5 weeks after knee scope

He'll still be their number one back and can have a great year. The panthers have a week three bye week so this might not hut as bad as a lot of you may think. He very well could just miss one game.

Hey Matty ... No rush on that trade now.

Take your time, take 2-5 weeks if you must

I guess if it doesnt take affect until next week I might want to look at starting Tyrone Wheatley since Fargas I dont think is going to play this week.

actually no, it was his agent's demands for 10mill a year and spurriers disinterest in power running backs.

deshaun went undrafted in a bunch of leagues, solid pickup.. though without davis or smith, that's a much weaker offense.

btw, whoever yanked D. Clark and E. Johnson in the EA league, i hate you I grabbed them in all my yahoo leagues monday morning, but that damned EA waiver wire cost me both of them and now my TE is going to be a sore spot for the rest of the year (unless someone wants to trade ) /rant

i took e.johnson in the warpath money league. Of course I also just traded for crumpler. I gave up a bunch of crumpler but I still might start johnson because hes got my boy Dorsey throwing ot him, and I know he likes TEs

big difference though is that Holmes produces in multiple ways and has only had one real injury that I can remember while davis always seems to miss 2-3 games a year due to injuries related to his knees, lower legs, or ankles. holmes is in a very elite club of all time nfl running backs and as much as I used to like davis, he's no where close to holmes' league.

Davis may not be in the same league as Holmes. And like you said about Davis missing 2-3 games a year is a down fall, but even though he misses 2-3 games a year he still rushes for 1,300 to 1,400 yards per season (unless Spurrier is the caoch), now just think if he could have stayed healthy for the 2-3 games that he missed. Not bad stats if you ask me...

I wouldnt knock Davis for missing a few games at all. In all honesty, I expect Portis to miss 1-3 games somewhere along the season. These running backs take a beating, its hard for any of them to suit up for 16 games. I really like Stephen Davis, I hated how he was treated here the last couple years, but I'm glad we let him go so he could be somewhere that he could get a good opprotunity. I wish him well as long as it's not against us.He should be fine.
