Sean Taylor.
I must admit, my primary concern for this right now happens to be my fantasy team, but I'm a bit confused. Saw the WP running an article basicly saying if it ain't broke don't fix it as far as our starting safeties. Will Taylor be starting, or seeing a lot of play time? In a fantasy league with individual D players (I much prefer it to team D's, give it a try sometime) and I want to know if I should play Taylor or T. Newman.

I would play Newman, since they're playing against the Browns and who knows how much playing time Taylor will get this week.

Yeah, I know Newman will get decent stats, but I've seen the Potential in Taylor to get huge stats. Im leaning towards Newman, because no negative points for being burned. The Browns have solid receivers.

i would gamble and go with ST.
If he does get significant playing time, warner/manning will go after him, he will get every opportunity to make plays. newman is a decent corner, the guy across from him had a tough game. i think the browns will go after P.Hunter. newman shouldnt get many opportunities. |

Drop Newman bench Taylor for this week and pick up Dan Morgan vs. the Chiefs or Sam Cowart vs. the Chargers....both of them are machines

im pretty sure daseal alreayd has dan morgan. I was helping him during his draft and kept yelling at him to pick up Dan Morgan, Sean Taylor, Ed Reed and Terell Suggs. Yes three of them are canes but id like to see anyone of you argue against them.
As far as this week, Taylor is going to get the start and play the whole game from what I read. Last week was as a precaustion/punishment. He should be on the field the whole time this week.

Thats a good D. I have Ray Ray, LaVar, Peppers, Morgan, ST, Cowert, and Ngyen (sp?) and I dropped Ed Reed for Morgan. No one in my league can touch that D.

Here's my current team:
QBs: Chad Pennington and Byron Leftwich RBs: Priest Holmes, Chris Brown, Lee Suggs, LaMar Gordon WRs: Marvin Harrison, Chad Johnson, Justin McCareins, David Terrell TEs: LJ Smith DLs: Leonard Little, Charles Grant, Kris Jenkins, Terrell Suggs, Dan Morgan, Dwight Freeney, Jonathan Vilma, and Robaire Smith (which Im waiting to drop when I get Ogun off the waiver wire) DBs: Marcus Trufant, Terrance Newman, Ed Reed, Sean Taylor Looking for solid LBs if you guys have any ideas. I had the #2 offense last week, and tied for last in defense. Granted I had Mike Doss who went off, and Taylor had .5 points. Thanks for the help. |

as far as LBs go, if they're any good, people probably know about them... antonio pierce may have slipped in the draft, cause before the season, anyone outside DC didn't know about him (unless they were a real big football geek)... go check maddens ratings and last weeks stats and see if you can find anybody they missed... you're not going to find any ray rays or lavars, but that's how it goes...

The sad part is that the fantasy team he plays on consists of the people from the show around the horn. He was an intern there.

As far as LB's, Cato June didn't do much in week one, but should do well this year. Depends on your scoring system, though. If it uses tackles, look for guys getting tackles & sacks, rather than guys that got INT's, FR's or TD's in weekj one - those are not dependable.

Nearly everyone went primarily defense in the draft, so I decided to take advantage and go heavy on the offense. My defense was tied for last place, and my offense was second next to the guy with CMart, McNabb, and Moss.
Some guys made horrible picks, but I'm only in 4th place at the moment. |
