Gave them an "A" as I thought they called a great game and have completely turned around a underachieving defense and piss poor protecting offense from last season.
I'll point our Gregg Williams agressive calling at the end of the game to put it away with a sack rather than to sit in a prevent.

Voted a B. I think we should've challenged that play when Brunell CLEARLY got the first down, then got a bad spot. Besides that Gibbs did a good job of calling the plays as well as Williams on D.

'A' all the way. The team was very well prepared, they played with a lot of emotion but played smart. Great gameplans on both sides of the ball.

Good prep, good discipline, good play calling, especially on D. And time was perfectly managed down the stretch for the win. Williams' (and Bugel's) energy on the sideline was great, and Gibbs, afterwards, gave everyone game balls and hugs. What else do you want?
A+

I gave them an A as they were very prepared. Not sure that I like the conservatism in the second half with the offense, but they did grind it out at the end when needed. Hope the "old men" can keep up the stamina!!!

They get an A from me. It's a pleasure to see what a professional coaching staff looks like. Great job.

A, though i think gibbs was too conservative in play calling and needs to learn how to use a red flag (did we even use any time outs anyways???). Williams was just about perfect.. i mean he not only got bowen to not blow coverages, he got him to whack someone is a different color uniform. Who knows, maybe even jimoh will be useful this year.

I went with B, because there is a little room for improvement. Danny Smith's Special Teams unit has room for improvement, and we should have used a challenge on Brunell's scramble.
It's nice to be able to vote as high as "B" without engaging in substantial self-delusion. Welcome back, Joe.

Gibbs too conservative? Some of you guys got too used to watching Spurrier. lol
Personally I loved all the running, the counters, Bucs being put on their butts, etc. That's Redskins football, control the clock, smashmouth and physical. |

I think A for that game because how well they have turned the team around. They were ready to play and didn't give up untill the game was done. The thing I liked best though was the scouting and the way the game was planned to take the Bucs appart, especially on Defence stacking the field in the 5-8 yard range challenging Brad to beat us deap something that he doesn't like doing.
I can only hope it was not another false dawn and we have something equally special for week two. |
