Got a link to Best Buy's Black Friday circular:
Best Buy - Weekly Ad Specials They have a few decent prices for 720p HDTVs...

Man, I am thinking about it bad. I have a 42 inch in my LR and am thinking of looking at a 58 inch. I guess within the next two to three weeks will be the sweetest time to buy.

I've got a 37" Panasonic plasma in my living room right now, but I've got my eye on upgrading to a 46". This is definitely the time to do it.

Re: Anyone in the market for a new HDTV?
I bought my last 2 TVs from Best Buy (6 and 5 years ago, so both are CRTs), but did buy the extended warranties, and both paid off. My 32 inch was pretty much rebuilt on the inside right before the warranty expired (needed a new system board).
However, I did have a problem with their outsourced delivery vendor for their appliances...so I won't buy appliances from them anymore. But to each their own. Smaller stuff I wouldn't hesitate to go, but larger ticket items I'd do some research.

Re: Anyone in the market for a new HDTV?
Well thay lost my business over a DVD player that cost less then $50.00. We purchased one from them for my daughter to take back to school. When she got back to school the unit did not work and where she goes to school there was not a best buy near her. She came home and 32 days after we purchased the unit we took it back and they would not do a thing for us. I explained the away to school thing and how it never worked but they just said we can give you the address to send it in as it was still under warranty. The shipping cost was more than what the for unit which they knew so they offered to sell me a new unit. I spoke to the MGR with the same results and I explained that we would never shop at best buy again and they would loose more business then the unit was worth. They kept bring up the extended warranty but I kept asking why I had to purchase the warranty for them to stand by a product that was still under warranty and never worked from the start. Still no help. Its just poor service on their part and they will never get another dollar from me. I also know others that have had the same type of issues. The problem I have is that they could have just sent this unit back with others from that CO. and they would have sent them a replacement without any questions so they would not be out one penny. Just their time to send it back.

Except for maybe little things you need ASAP BestBuy is trash and as it turns out the competition is trashier around here, especially Fry's. Thankfully Amazon is here...point, click, you're done!

Re: Anyone in the market for a new HDTV?
It was Best Buy, or a local repair shop that was contracted by Best Buy to do my service, not Sony. But like I said, I did get the extended warranty on the TVs...
