Non-presidental elections this ballot
Maybe mods can change the title.
So in my district of VA, Wolfe(I voted for a Republican!) won for the house and obviously Warner won the Senate race. More interestingly is district 5 of VA where I study at UVA, and that is a really close race. According to CNN, with 99% of votes in it is 50-50! The incumbent is Goode(R), very corrupt in my opinion, and is getting challenged by a newcomer, Perriello(D). he is up about 2000 votes out of over 310,000 total votes cast so far. Franken vs Coleman in Minnesota. If for no other reason then the "celebrity" factor
My man Shays lost up here in CT. Last of a dying breed that Shays.

The sooner Virgil Goode goes the better. He is one of the worse congressmen I have ever seen. The sooner people like him get the boot the sooner the Republican comeback happens.

Even though I'm for divided government I'm still very happy to see that Elizabeth Dole lost to Hagan.

Re: Non-presidental elections this ballot
hahaa great example. I don't know how this clown is in office, beside the fact much of the district is really really really red. Only real hope is Charlottesville's liberal voters to turn out and it looks like they really made this into a fight.

Re: Non-presidental elections this ballot
In VA's 5th Goode(R) is up 50.1% to 49.9% by around 400 votes. They are going to have a state funded recount so looks like this will not be decided for a while.

Re: Non-presidental elections this ballot
Goode lost the election but he might actually end up losing his freedom. Couldn't have happened to a nicer fellow. Toss in Katherine Harris and you just got to scream "Karma is a Bitch!"
