Election Day Thread 2008

Liberal? Conservative? Libertarian? It doesn't matter, go vote, get free "food," and discuss the election here.

re: Election Day Thread 2008

I was planning on voting this morning but I woke up late after being up too late for the game last night. I can never fall asleep right away after a game. Anyway, are you guys seeing big lines today?

Hey, Obama has already won in some early voting towns that usually go Republican:

Vote! Do not listen to the polls remember what happened in 2004. Do not let the media tell you to stay home.

Whoever wins I think both of these guys are one term presidents.

I don't think we have to worry about people not turning out to vote. I think voter turnout could be historic.

Lines in SE VA are the longest I've seen.

Didn't even have a wait in our little backwards precinct. Some guy was standing in the rain waving a McCain banner at me. Weirdo.

re: Election Day Thread 2008

Probably about 40 people outside of my place on my way to work at 7AM. I was going to vote then but didnt think I would make it to work on time. I will vote after work. Hopefully I can get in and out without a long wait.

I believe there is a law that says you are entitled to 2 hours of your work day (with pay) to go vote.

2.5 hours for me

90 minutes for me. I got there right at 7 am and there was already a line across the parking lot.

I'm going on my lunch break, and I intend to use the full 2 hours.
