obama informercial gameday thread

Is anyone else watching this? Has he said anything new? I am still undecided and he is saying good stuff but it seems to be lacking substance.

Re: obama informercial gameday thread

I'm recording it.

If anything I think it's a good strategic move on his part to get back into the prime time eyes of the country one last time before the election.

What is it that you want Barack, or for that matter, John McCain to say that they haven't already said? These candidates have gone at great lengths to explain and re-explain their respective positions.

I find it quite remarkable that, after nearly two years of campaigning, people say they are still undecided? Please help me out here.

Yeah that confuses me too. Might as well flip a coin if you don't know by now.

I was hypnotized by his words. Must...vote...for... Obama. What a powerful speaker he is. Ina bizarre way, it kind of reminds me of stories my grandfather told me of a guy in Europe that had an amazing gift for public speaking.

Maybe it's just me. The only way I can think to explain it is that my gut says McCain but my heart says Obama. How to choose?

That's a bit extreme, don't you think?

You mentioned your heart and your gut, but what is your mind telling you? Not trying to come off as wise guy, but seriously, how does your personal situation and ideals fit into their views and policies? And I'm talking about which guy you would rather have a beer with or anything like that. Because both of them drink beer

That was a test of assumptions. My grandfather survived the London bombings and would tell us stories of another great European orator to which I was referrring to...Winston Churchill.

Well being someone from the inner city, I'd rather have one with Obama. I bet he has some interesting stories about organizing on the South Side of Chicago back in the day.

If you want some kick ass Naval sea stories, I'll supply you a few in exchange for a cold one
