Re: Redskins MVP through 8 games?
Hard question. You can make a case for anyone of those guys listed. But if a gun was pointed to my head and I had to choose, I'd go with Fletcher. Our D has kept us in games, and really gets the O back on the field. Fletch has been the rock on that side of the ball. He has been absolutely outstanding

Re: Redskins MVP through 8 games?
I say Portis because we are where we are thanks to the running game. The only question is how much is down to Portis himself and how much the line?
Otherwise I'd have voted for Campbell. Were it not for his fumbles, I'd consider him MVP. No INT's and no particularly poor games, notwithstanding those fumbles. However, by the end of the season (assuming they keep playing better), I think it may be the D that should get the MVP. |

Clinton Portis without a doubt. With the passing game still developing, Clinton has carried the load and up until now, no one has stopped him. I really hope he can get to 2000 yds, but it will be very difficult.

Taking nothing from Portis or Campbell of course, but if Fletcher isn't out there busting his hump and leading this defense, Portis or Campbell don't get the ball as often.

Easy question. Portis is not only the Skins' MVP to this point, he would be MVP of the league if the season ended tomorrow.

No question, it's Portis with an assist from the Offensive Line and JC.

i am rooting for portis to break a huuuuge season open...but, i think we maybe have to give it to jc in respect for the way he has managed the games.

Re: Redskins MVP through 8 games?
Clinton Portis is certianly the obvious choice and no doubt he's having an All-Pro season, but I think you have to give the MVP to London Fletcher the leader of our defense. Our defense has kept us in every game and has been the most consistent part of our team. When the offense is struggling our defense keeps the game managable enough to were we can win it. I think if our defense wasn't playing at the level they're now we're a 4-4 team. The defense's success all goes back to one man and that is London Fletcher and that's why he gets my vote for MVP.

Re: Redskins MVP through 8 games?
This is a team effort and some players have better stats than others etc. Portis wouldn't have the numbers he has if it wasn't for the OL paving the way, not taking anything away from CP. Too many contributors on both sides, Rogers, Fletcher, Horton, CP, Moss, Campbell. My vote goes to Joe Bugel and the OL for making things happen up front.

Re: Redskins MVP through 8 games?
i love me some Portis. and the oline has been outstanding. but i cant imagine an nfl quarterback going a half of a season with no picks. just simply outstanding work

Re: Redskins MVP through 8 games?
All the guys listed are deserving. Campbell- 0 interceptions and after the first game has really taken control of this offense. Plus he's running for first downs which has added another dimension to the offense. Portis has been on fire and helps us control the clock and keep the defense off the field. Moss has been huge in receptions, blocking and even punt returns. A real team player. Nobody expected Rogers to be a shutdown corner but he's been about as close to being one as you can get this year. And he's made some hellacious hits. Fletcher plays like a Mad Dog. He may have single-handedly saved a couple of games for us this year. I want to say Fletcher, but as important as ball control is, I would have to go with Portis.
