Live Streaming SKins Games
Does anyone know where I can find a live video stream of the skins games on the net? I have a friend who just moved to TX, and all they show is f-ing Cowboys games.

He'll need a SlingBox (google it) and a friend/relative that lives in the DC area. I use one and it works great.

MyP2P.eu :: Free Live Sports on your PC, Live Football, MLB, NBA, NHL and more...
Download Sopcast, or TVAnts(follow directions on site) and look under "Live Sports" on Sundays. They show all games, in pretty bad quality if you dont mind. Also if you dont find a link under that tab, go to their forums, usually people will post a link there.

Re: Live Streaming SKins Games
Nowadays they tend to give links for TVants. Also, like I said, visiting their forums tends to be helpful because there is usually someone there complaining about games and the mods or others post a link...

myp2p sometimes works well, sometimes doesn't.
slingbox works awesome all the time, and you can get free software to turn it into a full DVR as well (they just put a TV guide thing in the official software too - click on a show and it goes to it, and the new slingbox 2.0 software also lets you pause and go back up to 60 minutes in whatever you're watching... sweet free upgrades ) |

Re: Live Streaming SKins Games
Actually, Stacks would need the SlingBox and provide his IP addrss to his friend in TX. Right?

Re: Live Streaming SKins Games
Actually the Skins have been on TV here in Austin 4 of their 7 games. But I have the NFL Ticket so it doesn't matter to me.
Slingbox works well, I know of some folks that have that set up when they travel abroad.

Re: Live Streaming SKins Games
No - the SlingBox attaches directly to the "host" cable box (someone in the DC area in this case). Then you can access or remotely-control that cable box from anywhere you have an internet connection (home, hotel, airport, etc...) or from your phone if it is compatible.

I've considered the NFL's own package, as it's available to international customers, but it uses it's own player and for how much they charge, it's too late in the season to get full value out of it. Sky Sports in the UK have been talking about some form of NFL Ticket option here in the UK, but no word on when. However, they now carry one afternoon and one evening game, the Sunday and Monday night games and they have alternates on their interactive channels for the afternoon and evening games, so recording the games means I could potentially watch 6 games a week (and that's not including Thursday games). I just can't guarantee being able to watch the Skins unless they are on the night games. I just wish NFL.com would allow you to buy a game for download on a game by game basis, live or recorded. They must be able to make a profit on it like that without affecting their TV revenues/contracts? |

Re: Live Streaming SKins Games
And I dont know about all the complains of P2P, have any of you guys tried going to their forum during the game?
Just go to the NFL thread, and there is always a decent link to every game every week. And if any of the links are bad, people start complaining, and someone immediately posts a feed. I have had absolutely no problem watching Skins games from the library on my comp, or watching other big games not on TV.
