Upshaw and Bauman are released

WOw guys i guess those two had to be the surprise cuts. PLus Sultan lost out in the RB battle. Rock's still on the team. No other real surprises.

So I guess this means the Skins really see Ron Warner as having a big impact this season.

I had thought they'd keep either Scott or Jafar Williams. Seems like they're only going with 5 receivers then, and just 4 TEs

Just got the news on Redskins.com I think there are some surprises. How in the hell did Jimoh make the team over Rufus Brown? If we go based on performances in the preseason then Kozlowski, Royal, Jimoh, Ware, Sellers and Todd Franz should be packing their bags. I like Gari Scott from the first preseason game. I guess his TD reception in that game wasn't enough. Oh well, let's get ready for the Buccaneers.

I'm sure Gari Scott will make the practice team. I'm glad Simon was placed on injured reserve. I really don't think Cartwright is versatile enough to play at HB. Chad Morton is really a HB, punt returner and receiver, so I don't understand how Cartwright would make the team. It seems the coaching staff made their judgements on not only on performance but expectations. Did we see Kozlowski, Royal, or Rasby this preseaon?

Jimoh must have looked very good shadow boxing in training camp. Because when he had a real opponent in front of him he was burned. If he starts this year we are going to have one of the worst secondarys in the league. I thought no one could out do Jason Sehorn.

Wow....Ade jimoh fan club will be really excited about this. While that's a surprise, can't really say I'm sad to see Bauman gone. Upshaw's release is a huge surprise - this would mean Warner would get a lot of playing time at Right end.

Bauman was injured since last year. You think a lot of these injuries are due to fragile bones due to performance enhancement drugs?

I notice that there were 2 TE's cut, getting them down to exactly the number I said they would carry - and got a LOT of flak about!!

I met Upshaw this year at camp and he was a real nice guy, I was really pulling for him to do well this year. Very pissed he got cut.

I'm not. We have sucked on our rush defense and those young strong legs are what we need to support Arrington. Remember Barrow isn't playing. Pierce will start and probably Kheri Campbell will back him up. One thing I noticed last year against Dallas, Phila and New York. Their RB's were much faster than our LB's. That won't be the case this year.
