So I volunteered at a Wolf Preserve this weekend...
and i remembered to take pictures
higher res gallery (2k X 1.5k): http://www.photoshop.com/user/that_g...2dbc2dfcf2e3ba lower res gallery (800 x 600 - same pics): http://www.photoshop.com/user/that_g...a3e503142710ec it was pretty cool... wolves LOVE to steal stuff though. they'll try to take your hat and eat it, they'll try to grab your sunglasses off you head or eat your cellphone, and they've even tried to drag an 11 foot aluminum ladder off into the woods with them. I was there to help build up some dams, move dirt, etc... but you can't leave shovels sitting around though, cause the wolves were in there while we were working, and they're more than happy to grab unescorted tools and disappear with them, regardless of size. obviously these are somewhat domesticated wolves (taken from mother's and raised by humans from 5 days old). the preserve has about 20 wolves, and a few were rescued from failed preserves after living with their mothers for over a year - you can't really just walk in with those ones, since they'll try to bite your legs once you turn your back to them. enjoy. |

Great pics, very cool. These guys remind me so much of my Siberian Husky who passed last Nov.

Re: So I volunteered at a Wolf Preserve this weekend...
yeah, those foxes are tiny compared to what i saw in VA, but the teeth are curved backwards, so if you stick a finger out, they'll bite it, and you can't pull it out (same deal as with a snake)... just something to keep in mind regardless of how cute they look.

Actually we are enjoying a Coyote rejuvenation in the area. You have to keep an eye on your pets as they have been known to attack them on the leash, like while your walking them..............wierd
