Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Week 4)
Huge, huge win. Props to the entire organization. But I said I'd do this each week, so...
Danny Smith I can't understand what you were thinking at the start of the 2nd half calling for a squib kick. Why would you intentionally shorten the field for the Cowboys offense? Nearly cost us the game Reed Doughty Pretty soon Kareem Moore will pass you on the depth chart. Casey Rabach I still haven't forgiven you for the Chargers game two years ago.

I hope Rabach got chewed out thoroughly by Buges and the gang. 2 TDs called back because of the same player? You're a vet. Do better

And yes. I don't know why, but it seems like every time I see Reed Doughty he's not making a good play, he's making a bad one. Maybe it's just bad luck on his part, but every time he's on the field I feel like o-coordinators try to exploit him as much as possible.

Re: Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Week 4)
Rabach has been a liability all season but at least he hadn't taken points off the board. That was truly a pathetic display. The first hold was questionable but the downfield penalty was just moronic.
Also, what is up with the prevent defense? I know Blache didn't learn that from Williams. We were so successful matching up with them in man to man and blitzing Romo, why would you suddenly switch to a soft prevent shell? They got a field goal at the end of the half they shouldn't have gotten. Also, while we at least mixed it up on their last offensive drive, once they got inside the 30 we switched back to a 3 man front and gave up a TD shortly after. Seriously, what is up with that? Run your defense, especially when it's working. |

The second Rabach TD call back was probably one of the most exiciting palys of the game. Campbell was awesome on that play!

Re: Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Week 4)
A tad unfair. Did you see the play he was all over Witten and he still made the catch? If his hand had only been a couple of inches over, he'd have broken that pass up and you'd be hailing it as a great play. I do think Horton is a better player, but let's not be too hard on Doughty.

Rabach is a very good center and had a good game last night. One of those calls was questionable. The other, Rabach thought JC was going to run it in.

Re: Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Week 4)
The hold on Rabach seemed a little sketchy, and I'm not going to be too hard on him for the downfield call either. The play was breaking down and that's when shit like that happens. It sucks that 2 scores got called back and you could see he was pretty bummed about it.

Also, I don't want to be down on him. And actually I think I agree with the decision, but do you guys think Zorn should have gone for the TD on their last drive instead of the FG?
