Now that he's officially named the opening day starter let's see what the warpath thinks about how many regular season games he'll start

The kid needs a reality check if he was surprised by coachs' decision.

It was Ramsey's job for the taking and he didn't even show up.

I'll give Ramsey 2 or 3 spot injury starts.

I don't believe that... Joe brought Brunell in here to be the starter and gave him starter's money.

either way, GIbbs gave both the opportunity to take the position and Brunell clearly outplayed him. I still think Ramsey can be good, just not this year. He just looked somewhat lost out there. I am happy with Brunell....for now

After watching Testeverde throw his first TD, I'm reminded of what Ramsey has improve on if he is to be consistent in the NFL. Go footwork. Testeverde's old ass is moving around in the pocket and stepping up to make the pass. He floats alot of balls which makes it easy to intercept. But Ramsey should be given a serious regimen in speed and foot training.

Yeah, I agree it was Brunell's spot to begin with (not that I agreed with that) but Ramsey just couldn't hang with Brunnell in a competition. Neither QB made me feel confident in what we have, hopefully once the full play book is revealed things will start to come into focus.

The key to our success is the offensive line. We have to give Brunell time in the pocket and open a hole for Portis.

Key to our success is taking shots down field so we can get pass intereference calls =p

Brunell starts every game except where he is nicked. Figure on Brunell in there for 14 games...

I put all sixteen. His Gibbs man, and Ramsey has a lot to learn. . If Ramsey cant throw to a receiver before he turn or completes a route then cut him as far as im concerned..

Out of curiosity, why does everyone assume Brunnell will be injured, what makes you think hes such an injury prone qb. He was injured for what, 2 or 3 games last year. They just didnt put him back becuase thye wanted leftwich to play. I dont know his exact numbers but how many times has brunell been injured in his career, I didnt think it had been taht many.

If he gets injured it's not going to be because he's getting smacked around. He'll be well protected. I see Brunell having a very solid season and starting at least 14 games.

10-15, i'm not sure gibbs is big on switching out qbs mid-season, but there's always a chance that something could happen...

they did the right thing though, i don't think anyone can argue against brunell starting from what we've seen.
