The Get Psyched Thread
I just wanted a place to express excitement for the start of football action. Training camp starts tomorrow, the Skins face the Colts in the HoF game two weeks from tomorrow, and I'm seriously jazzed for some Redskins action. So here's a thread, tell us how amped you are!
I don't know if this thread is necessary or if the mods want to keep it. But sometimes as fans we got to take off the thinking cap from time to time and just go nuts! I can't wait to see Landry lay someone out like he did to Plax last year, I can't wait to see Randy Thomas pull around the edge and watch some poor safety duck for cover as he bears down on him with Portis right behind, I can't wait to see Sellers catch the ball in the flat, turn up the field, lower his head and SMASH some face, I can't wait to see some big, high-arcing TD throws from Campbell to our WRs, I can't wait to see Andre Carter turn the corner and spread his arms out like a giant bird and wrap the QB up from behind, I can't wait to see Bugel in the face of his bad-ass linemen, and I just can't wait for some football! Bring on training camp, Hail! ![]()

Sellers trucking Kennedy was one of the signature moments of the 2007 season. I can't wait for this to get going.

Re: The Get Psyched Thread
It's been a long time since I felt this much anticipation for the season to start. I'm excited about Zorn. The homer in me hopes he is the second coming of Gibbs 1.0.
I'm also looking forward to seeing what Campbell will be able to do in this offense. I wanna see him light it up out there. I've ordered my tickets for the Skins/Panthers pre-season game. Yeah, it's only pre-season, but I'm psyched to see our boys live in action. |

Re: The Get Psyched Thread
Schneed thanks for this thread. I'm looking forward to seeing Clinton Portis behind a healthy line and just the thought of getting him out in space has me giddy. I am really excited about this new era of Redskins football, excited about the potential of the rookies and looking forward to seeing how Moss and Randle El are used in the WCO. And the HOF game should see Thomas, Kelly and Davis getting a lot of time so we'll get a pretty good glimpse of the future from the start.

Re: The Get Psyched Thread
This is my second post in this thread because I had psyched myself up so much that I punched a hole through my laptop screen in the original post!
This season is the first one in a long time that I can remember having so many starters returning. Continuity says a whole lot on the players side. We have a new coaching staff, for sure, but Zorn looks like he's going full steam to get everyone on his page. I love his energy and excitement. We'll show the Patriots and the rest of the league how to finish a season.

Re: The Get Psyched Thread
i can't wait either.i think jim zorn has gotten where he has because he always pushes and works to the point of exhaustion in prep off the field.it may not be this year, but i
think all zorn needs is a chance and i think he'll bring the skins back to the top of the leagues greatest franchise tag that we all expect.i only hope snyder is as patienta as he was when he hired him.but i will miss seeing coach gibbs on the sideline and number 21 laying out people left and right. |

Re: The Get Psyched Thread
I am pumped to see more LANDRY SLICES like the one he applied to Burress! That was my favorite hit and taunt of the season, and hope to see many more this year! By the way, what does everyone think about Schwiegert? and is Landry returning to SS or staying at the FS spot?

Re: The Get Psyched Thread
Holy crap! I just got back from vacation yesterday, and all week long I was teaching my kids' cousins the Big Mike Sellers Power Flex! Thanks guys for showing some love to my favorite Skin.
I must say however that I was a little disappointed that Gibbs didn't use him more towards the end of the season last year. Like I've said before, "just give Big Mike the damn ball!" He brings alot of hype to the game and to this team. If he gets more touches, he will be in the Pro Bowl, lock it in.

Re: The Get Psyched Thread
Yeah Saden, that was one of the best coached games that Gibbs had ever. It was like the Skins were not going to be denied that game. They were playing with such passion and intensity. After that game, I thought for sure we were going to beat the seahawks.
