Re: 2008 Major League Baseball Prediction Thread
I predict the Orioles and their FO will continue to crash and burn.
Which as a fan really pisses me off. Someone needs to take Angelos down a peg. If anyone follows the O's FO closer than I do, can someone tell me why Angelos sucks and life and doesn't give a damn about the franchise?

I had the Brewers winning the World Series the last two years, not this year though

Quote:
Philadelphia Phillies (80-82, 849 RS, 870 RA). Here’s what I can’t figure out: in what ways will the Phillies be better in 2008 than they were in 2007? Defense at third base, an extra month of good play at second, arguably at closer. That’s it. They’re likely to see offensive declines at most spots, and the rotation is a major problem, as is the bullpen in front of Brad Lidge. The idea that they’re the favorite in the division is addled, and the possibility of a significant dropoff is better than the possibility of a repeat title. They are a little less optimistic than I am.

Re: 2008 Major League Baseball Prediction Thread
Pure speculation, as I haven't read up much on baseball this past Winter...
AL East - Boston AL Central - Cleveland AL West - Texas AL Wild Card - Detroit AL Worst Team - Baltimore AL Surprise Team - Tampa NL East - New York NL Central - Milwaukee NL West - Colorado NL Wild Card - St. Louis NL Worst Team - Florida NL Surprise Team - Washington AL Pennant - Boston over Cleveland NL Pennant - New York over Colorado World Series - Boston over New York in 6 As far as the Orioles go, I'm hoping Andy MacPhail will keep Peter Angelos at bay and actually start rebuilding this team. It's been in a rebuilding stage for several years now, but they haven't rebuild anything but the Jumbotrons. They've already shed Jay Gibbons, and I wouldn't be surprised if by June, guys like Millar and Huff aren't shipped out either.
