Local Radio reports that Jags have signed Gregg Williams as DC/Assist Head Coach

"1010XL has reported that former Washington Redskins defensive coordinator Gregg Williams will be named as the defensive coordinator in Jacksonville. Williams was a finalist for the Washington head coaching job when Joe Gibbs retired, and when the Redskins decided to go in a different direction, Williams was relieved of his coordinator duties."

Good for Greg! Doesn't affect Skins any longer. He's dusted so forget him.

I wish the best for him but now I think the Gregg Williams talk needs to come to an end...

Just saw it on ESPN I'm glad Gregg got another job and wish him the best. I'm even happier that he is not going to be a cowgirl's coach.

we played J'ville in 06 so unless we see them in the super bowl (come to think of it, that's not too improbable), we won't have to deal w/GW's revenge on the Skins until 2010 if he's still w/them.

LOL, good luck with that. I agree with you but you have to consider that people around here still talk about Ramsey and Lavar. The Gregg Williams talk isn't going away anytime soon.

Do you just say any old thing that pops into your head or is your attention span that limited?

I doubt many of us will forget Gregg so quickly and appreciate what his defenses accomplished on the field during his tenure. I wish Coach Williams well and I hope he finds much success in Jacksonville.

Re: Local Radio reports that Jags have signed Gregg Williams as DC/Assist Head Coach

Much of the success we have enjoyed here the last four years can be attributed to the defensive schemes Williams brought to that side of the ball. I can't remember a Redskin defense performing any better before he arived, the only exception being the 06 season.

I wish Williams the best unless he's coaching against the Redskins, and glad he went to a decent team.

Definitely wish Gregg Williams the best of luck. I thoroughly enjoyed his coaching while he was in D.C.

Hopefully we won't cross paths in next year's Super Bowl!

Has GW commented on why he didn't get the job? It seems he's been pretty quiet.
