Re: Redskins on Around the Horn............
Are you talking about those two guys who sit there and yell at each other for minute or so. I really don't care what people are saying as they really do not have a clue until we announce our HC. Then when they get here and kick some butt we will have the last laugh.

Re: Redskins on Around the Horn............
Rome's voice alone drives me nuts.
The skins are under criticism for good reason. Hiring coordinators before a head coach isn't typically viewed well. HCs want to hire their own staff, which is very understandable. That's part of the reason I feel like we already have a HC< we just haven't announced them yet.

I wouldn't necessarily say this is a new standard. In fact the cowboys hired Garrett before hiring Phillips last year. They also made it clear that Garrett was their next coach. Either way, I don't think its a "standard" and before we praise or crucify the man, lets see how it actually shakes out.

Re: Redskins on Around the Horn............
Those guys are idiots and that is the worst sports show on TV. I caught Clayton on Mike and Mike (one of the few guys out there who doesn't seem to have some kind of personal vandetta against Snyder) and he gave a much more balanced answer. He said the move suggests, as Dasael pointed to as well, that a coach is all but decided. He pointed to Fassel since these are, in his words, Fassel's guys, although I have to wonder if he read JLC's blog yesterday. Clayton continued that if they don't have a candidate in mind as of yet then it's a much more questionable move.
So basically let's all wait and see how it plays out before we start listening to Jay Mariotti and Woody Paige. |

Everytime I see Jim Rome come on I make a point of changing the channel. Same goes for World Series of Poker.

I can't stand ESPN.. the only decent show worth watching is PTI.

I saw it on my lunch break. They really didn't say anything insightful.

Re: Redskins on Around the Horn............
Well Pete Carroll showed that he does indeed have brains. He would have been a fool to leave USC for Redskins Park. He is a god at SC while he probably would have ended up like Spurrier did here. I don't think any of these assistants, no matter how good they are as assistants, are going to take us anywhere soon.
