Lavar In 2008
I just heard Lavar hint that he will play for the skins in 2008. I hope that is true. We need him to take the place of MacIntosh, till he recovers and I dont think Godfrey, will be back. Bring back Lavar!!

Re: Lavar In 2008
Ok, I'm reopening this thread. TO Killa says he heard on Comcast he might come back next year and might play for the Redskins.
Personally I think this thread is idiotic and pointless. LaVar is always hinting (usually half seriously) about coming back to play. And he better publicly apologize for calling Gibbs the worst coach he ever played for before he steps back on the field as a Redskin. And he'll never be a Redskin again (except to sign for a day and officially retire as a Redskin) because even without Rocky the team is better off without LaVar who never grasped the system (mainly by choice) and especially because his knees are shot and he can barely walk let alone put pads on and play NFL football. So in summary: Waste of a discussion, but I'll keep it open (until another mod locks it)

Not sure how much he has left. He has some bridges to mend too, but it would be nice to see it happen.

Re: Lavar In 2008
If he can earn a roster post I'll welcome him with open arms.

Re: Lavar In 2008
Not sure if he still has the knees to play. He was one of my favorites, but I'd HATE to see him come back as a party favor only. He needs to be able to play.

Re: Lavar In 2008
I might be crazy for thinking he will come back, but he was the only bright spot on the Redskins for years. He was every fans favorite player. Then we got Sean, then he was taken away. Well, Lavar is still here and I still love him. If he can still play, he will be a bargain and Snyder will make a boat load of money on him. Believe me, a boat load and that iwill be a motivating factor.

Re: Lavar In 2008
Well, at the very least, a lot of Lavar fans would buy his jersey and you know he won't have #56 again.

I think it would be great!!!!! I would love to have Lavar back as long as he is well behaved and a team player. I think he has grown up a lot! I like Godfrey

Why would he not have 56?

Re: Lavar In 2008
I don't want him back. Sorry, but he was the "best thing" to happen to us during a lot of losing seasons. What good is that? He burned a lot of bridges because he was too stubborn and arrogant to follow orders and take some criticism. Plus, as has been mentioned, his knees are shot.
Time to move forward, not backward.

Re: Lavar In 2008
Well, the Redskins realized that a Dale Lindsey messed up the relationship Lavar had with the team. They fired him, and I think that had alot to do with the Lavar situation.
