Thank You Joe Gibbs/Redskins

It was an up and down season, obviously, but I don't believe any other coach could've turned things around like Joe Gibbs. Thank you Joe Gibbs, and the Washington Redskins for at least making it into the playoffs. This team exceeded expectations with all the injuries we've sustained this year, and of course the loss of Sean Taylor. This was an unbelievable season. I look for good things next season guys.

Re: Thank You Joe Gibbs/Redskins

It was a great season, one in which we were able to meet preseason expectations in the face of unbelievable adversity.

I don't know how many years it will take this team to make the next step, but this season is a pretty great stepping stone for what the future holds. The NFC East may be even tougher next year as the Eagles and the Giants are both likely to improve in the offseason.

We almost broke them with that comeback, but after the missed fg we just fell apart. Very proud of the team. I sure need a break from football. What an intense year.

Re: Thank You Joe Gibbs/Redskins

I second that! These last few weeks were some of the most fun games to watch for several years now. With a depleted O line, a second string QB, and most importantly, the death of ST, these guys were able to pull off some miracles. Thanks again, it is a joy to be a fan of this team. Wait till next year!

I am so proud of this team, 5 weeks ago not alot of people gave us a chance, but we fought through it all and made the playoffs! Collins luck ran out today but he really had no time to get in sync. I look forward to a great team next season!

Re: thanks for a great season in the midst of tragedy

I agree, I'm pretty pleased with what this team accomplished this year. Not overjoyed, because, early in the season, they made me believe they could be a much better football team and it never really happened, but after the Sean Taylor tragedy I admire the team and especially Joe for what they did to rally and make it this far.

All that said, I will feel very differently if, coming into next season, there is some sort of QB controversy in Washington. I believe Todd demonstrated today that this is not his team. I feel like Jason must step up and take that next step to become a very good starter next season and they could win this division.

I don't think that's true. I think we wouldn't have deserved it if we lost to Dallas backups. Seattle is a decent team. I don't think they're great. But our offensive line is absolutely inexcusably bad. And the Redskins have to address that this offseason by getting some depth.

I mean the front 4 of Seattle absolutely bent us over all game. And that was the problem with the whole game. I think if TC had more time back there, we would have done better. If the O-line had blocked better Portis might have been able to run more than just 2-3 ypc.

I think the team did great coming back from 5-7 not a lot of teams could do that. I believe the Redskins are still RIGHT on the cusp of blossoming into something great and hopefully they can put the pieces together over the offseason.
