Fred Smoot Thread...
It seems Fred Smoot has resurrected his career back the last couple of weeks. He's been playing lights out. Do you guys think Fred will keep evolving or is this just a fluke?
Where do you see Fred Smoot next year and Do you think he's good enough to possibly play the #1 slot? Last edited by redskinz79; 12-24-2007 at 12:13 PM. Reason: grammar |

Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
fred's doing pretty great, but Shawn Springs has been a MAJOR factor in the D and is completely underappreciated... I don't really understand that. Springs has been playing as well as any DB in the league, and Smoot is playing very well himself.
I don't think Smoot or Rogers can play that #1 slot, unless you guys want to see TO scoring 5+ td's a game on us twice a year. He tore up our zone and Springs is the only guy who can cover him one on one. I know he was playing when TO burned us for four, but Williams himself said he should've put springs on him and that he thought we could beat them with the zone, which they torched.

Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
You know, I've learned that corners can be very streaky from one year to the next. I've seen guys bring down 9 picks one year and flop the next. It's really hard to say. I think as long as he stays healthy and keeps that team mentality, he could be good for a few more years to come.

Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
The last 2 games he's played like a pro bowler, I hope he keeps it up especially if we make the playoffs. Maybe the hammy injury slowed him down?

Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
Smoot is having a good year and is a very capable starting CB. Not sure why this debate keeps coming up.

Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
Do you think its those Fred mot SMACK energy chocolate bars he got? I hear he eats those before every game....lol
I actually tasted them and they are not bad either! I bought them because their website is giving away luxury suite tickets to the dallas home game, but they havent announced the winner yet. (fingers crossed) I wanna see that game and ihope that the 12 bars i bought and the 3 bars i ate will grant me that wish. |

Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
cos i liked them and honestly did not expect them to be that good. A lotta folks were saying stuff about them about a week ago, so i tried them and them decided to just let some people know that they are real good. for some reason, i think a lot of folks think they are gross. But i say go taste them and see.

70% of the earth is covered by water, Fred Smoot covers the rest.

Smoot is the KING of smack talk. I love the thick southern accent so it makes it a little hard for people to understand WTF he just said. lol

Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
I assume "water" means Springs and Rogers, making Smoot the #3?

Re: Fred Smoot Thread...
You assume wrong, 70% includes the entire defense.
