Looks like Thomas will be back on Thursday

JLC mentions that it looks like Sellers, ARE, Springs and possibly Thrash also might be there.

That is absolutely fantastic. Thomas is a fan favorite, great player, and great person. Lets be looking for those down field blocks baby. It'll just be fun to watch him play a few downs even if he doesn't play many of them.

Wow actually some good news on the injury wire! I'm in shock. It would be great to have Thomas ARE and Thrash back.

Great news! I'm looking forward to Randy pulling and demolishing a linebacker as Portis tears by. He's by far the best pulling guard we've had for years.

Hopefully Thomas is really 100% and good to go and doesen't re-injure himself. Maybe he can revive this offensive line.

Thomas' play speaks for itself. What a lot of people don't realize is the kind of presence he is in the locker room. When Randy tore his triceps, one player, I forget who, said Thomas is the "heart and soul" of team. That's a big statement. His leadership and skills will be huge for us to get back, especially after what the team has endured over the past 8 or 9 days.

Re: Looks like Thomas will be back on Thursday

I dont know if one player is going to make the difference between winning and losing. But I do know that a 80% thomas is better then what we have now. I also know his presence will be felt in the line and maybe boost some confidence and positivity to our hampered line.

However, tehre are other areas of our offense that need help. JC for the most part has been playing awful the last couple of games. I know he has great leadership skills and character, but in terms of playing right now he needs to step it up a notch. If we are going to make this nearly impossible playoff push, now is the time for everyone on offense to get into 5th gear, full throttle, every play, every down, everytime.

Re: Looks like Thomas will be back on Thursday

At this point, with a 5-7 record, I'm not so much thinking about playoffs as much as I'm simply clamoring for something to cheer about.

Of all the exciting things in football that are cool, like leaping catches, long bombs for TDs, ankle-breaking jukes, bone-crushing hits on unsuspecting WRs, my favorite of all is the sight of a guard pulling around the corner and knocking some poor LB or DB clear across the field. Nobody does that better than Thomas. As soon as I see him pull, I start to chuckle, because I just know some poor bastard is going to get killed.

Randy Thomas is my favorite player on this team, I just want to see him smash some face again. I've missed it.

Re: Looks like Thomas will be back on Thursday

i don't care if he is 100% or not. Thomas at 85% is wayyy better then Fabini at 100%. and if he gets re-injured, he has all of off season to recover. if we run the table, we will make the playoffs. and i never give up until its over

Re: Looks like Thomas will be back on Thursday

I would be shocked if he starts. I could see him starting the 2nd half or coming in early in the 3rd qtr. Depending on the game situation he could get a lot of reps, I think he'll get more if we have a lead & are establishing a run game.

Re: Looks like Thomas will be back on Thursday

If Randy Thomas is actice, then he's starting and playing for me. Fabini is serviceable, but at the end of the day he's a tackle who can play guard. This should open up a few more holes for Portis, and yes hello Counter Tre!!
