Interesting Thought

I bet Champ is itching to line up at receiver on Monday night. It would be interesting to see him go against Fred one-on-one.

It would be pretty reckless, especially on that turf.

LOL Canes... He's been itching to be a receiver ever since he came into the league! He did line up as one a few times as a 'Skin... he even scored on an end around.

thanks smoot. So playing madden gave him the idea huh...heh.

I didnt knwo he played receiver in college. Im sure he could do it, hes fast and can catch. But Champ isnt that big of a guy is he? And why woudl denver give up so much for a corner and then risk him at receiver.

Most of these guys are gifted enough athletes taht he could play multiple positions. As a side note, in the new madden you can finally switch peoples positions. They also factored in how good they would be at another position. The only problem with that is that they also made it so a LT has to play on the left side. My current madden teams oline consists of two LT, and three centers...lol.

I think Bailey has the tools to be at wideout, but I also think that he'll probably end up injured before the end of the season doing so.

Shanahan was open to the idea of having Champ lining up in the WR spot. That's one of the things that allowed the deal to go through. I think that Champ will really try and convince the coaching staff to put him in for a few plays this Monday.

I hope Portis knocks him on his ass whens hes on defense, and I hope Taylor flattens him when he plays on offense, then Smoot jumps on top and starts talking smack!

I wouldn't be surprised to see him at WR occasionally, but not in preseason....no need to risk an injury when the games don't count.

thats true, they arent going to give him reps practicing it in the preason. Expecvially since he hasnt lined up with the offense in practice yet. Its going to be a tactical move that they try at some point during the season during a big game when they need that little bit of an edge.

we used him to return kicks... his hands aren't that great
CBs need to be fast to win matchups, so do WRs, so thats no surprise... but even sapp can catch in gimick plays...

I know that in last years madden, I would occasionally line him up at receiver, then have him on a "go route" out of a play action. He was usually so wide open that he caught the pass for a TD.
