Frederick, MD - Where to Watch the Game in FREDERICK, MD?
I live in Odenton, Md but I think I will have to be in Frederick on Sunday morning for some family business. That will probably have me leaving Frederick around 1PM. I would rather find a good sports bar in Frederick that plays the Skins game and watch it there than to drive home and miss the whole first half.
Anyone know of a good place in Frederick to watch the game. I know there is probably a lot of Ravens fans in Frederick but I think the Ravens play Monday night. |

Your best bet is to go to glory days or you could go to the raw bar.

Re: Where to Watch the Game in FREDERICK, MD?
There is a pretty healthy mix of Skins and Ravens fans in Frederick. Where in Frederick will you be?
Here's a list of places to watch games: - Champions at the corner of Route 85 and Crestwood Blvd - Beef O' Bradys at the corner of Crestwood Blvd and New Design Road - Barley & Hops, Urbana Pike (Route 355) and Genstar Drive (bar area) (In this area, there are a few restaurants that will probably have the games on in their bar area - Applebee's, Houlihan's, Pizzeria Uno's) - Canal Bar and Grill or Griff's Landing, South Market Street and Citizens Way (Next door, they are putting in a Greene Turtle...however not sure if it's open yet. Heard this may be their opening weekend...there is a parking garage behind Griff's Landing) - Brewers Alley, North Market Street between Church and 2nd (parking garage behind the restaurant, TVs in the bar area) - Old Town Tavern, North Market between 3rd and 4th Street - Bentz Street Sports bar, South Bentz and West Patrick - Hard Times Cafe, West Patrick Street and Baughman's Lane - Buffalo Wings and Beer, West Patrick Street and Willowdale Road (behind KFC) - Glory Days, 7th Street Shopping Center (right off Route 15) - Krug's Place, East Street and 9th Street (Hole in the wall, and Diehard Steelers bar) Your best best will be Champions, Hard Times, and Glory Days, as they will have the most TVs. Perhaps Bentz Street as well, but I've never been...

Two of you mentioned Glory Days. Might try them out. I have been to the GD in Glen Burnie and Bowie and they have great wings and beer and plenty of tv's |

Glory Days is "closest" to Thurmont off 15, so you'll be set there.

I agree with Glory Days. A word of caution about Champions is that is were most of the Dallas Brokeback fans go.

Re: Where to Watch the Game in FREDERICK, MD?
I worked at the Hard Times in Frederick for three years, and they have a pretty good set up at a decent price. The food is average, with the wings being the only exception. They're pretty friggin amazing.
They have two big projection screens, and lots of pool tables. There are usually a bunch of steelers fans there (owner of the place is a steelers fan as well), but it's never that terrible of a crowd. It's not a bad place at all to watch a game, especially if you want to play some pool. If you do go there, make sure Billy is your server, he's a character and a die hard skins fan. Glory Days isn't bad either.

- Beef O' Bradys at the corner of Crestwood Blvd and New Design Road
Watch out for this place they will keep on piling on the beef even after your done and then they will stick a fork in you. Thats why its called Bradys. |
