#3 Defense
#12 Offense. That's not bad at all. I can't wait until we play New England.

Re: Skins offense ranked #12 overall
With the already solid running attack and Campbell finding his comfort zone, they could easily be in the top ten before the end of the season.

Not bad at all. If we can get closer to about #10 in passing...watch out.

Re: Skins offense ranked #12 overall
All what matters in stats is points per game, and we are pretty good on offense and great on defense!
we just need moss back for GB they have a better secondary than detroit!!!!

Re: Skins offense ranked #12 overall
The only thing I care about in regards to stats is points. Are we scoring touchdowns? So far after 4 games it looks like we are better than last year w/ the potential to be much better as the year goes on.

Re: Skins offense ranked #12 overall
Our offense may not ever be in the top 10 but we still may win the division b/c thats not the way our offense is designed to operate. I am most concerned about Defensive stats. If we can be in the top 5 in the league in points allowed & total defense i'd be happy and in the top half in offense. A lot of what we do on offense is based on long sustained drives so we may not score a lot of points but rather rack up the yards.

Re: Skins offense ranked #12 overall
Yes, too bad for the Cowboys. They won't be playing an idiot coaching staff this coming weekend, like they did last night at Buffalo. Buffalo did everything they could to lose that game. (see TMQ article at ESPN.com)
Come on Buffalo,...a little help here! New England does not beat themselves. If Romo had thrown 5 picks against the Patriots the final score would have been 41-3 Patriots. |

Re: Skins offense ranked #12 overall
This might deserve its own thread but while we're talking about statistics etc...
Who's really better than the Skins in the NFC right now? The Cowboys? Yes. 5-0, we're 3-1 The Packers? Maybe...4-1, right. We'll find out this weekend. Who else? The Giants...A case can be made either way, but they are playing better and beat us head to head. Am I leaving out someone? Carolina...Noooo. Arizona...no defense. So right now we might be the 3rd best team in the NFC. It will be a real test this weekend and for the next couple weeks. I'm not going to jump in and say we're going the SB now, but we're much improved no doubt. We're not as bad as the 2nd half of the Giants game and probably not as good as last week. Big game and big test this weekend. Should be fun. |

Re: Skins offense ranked #12 overall
I actually think we can really improve in our run game--our average per carry isn't what it could be. If that goes up, the play action and everything else will really roll.
The only stat that matters is wins, and we have 3. Just keep winning, and the stats will take care of themselves.

Re: Skins offense ranked #12 overall
But if you look at this from NE's perspective, they can't be looking forward to their matchup with us. I mean they have a lot of games they are going to breeze right through, but our D is going to give Brady fits.
Still a game we may not be able to win, but New England isn't always going to come out playing their best game.
