Suisham & Frost Looking Good

The only times these guys ever get a thread is when they screw up so I thought I'd start one with a positive tone. Suisham seems to be getting stronger and more confident with ever game. He had 2 or 3 touch backs yesterday and is hitting a good % of his field goals. Frost, Mr. shank 1 punt a game has been nailing his punts with good angles which is helping the cover team. He is getting good distance and also dropping them inside the 20 and I cant remember the last time he has shanked one.

I must say, I'm seriously impressed with them both. They very quietly go about their jobs. Frost is definitely putting up Pro-Bowl numbers. For whatever that's worth to some of you.

Well, as I said yesterday, Frost deserves a lot of credit for that safety because his beautiful punt set the Lions back deep in their own zone.

I want to see a fake a la Jeff Hayes though

Re: Suisham & Frost Looking Good

that's funny you should bring up the fake. i was wondering when the last time the skins have tried that? and right now, our kicking game is very solid. it seems like forever since i could say that

Re: Suisham & Frost Looking Good

I was a major critic of frost because of his 1 shank per game average, but so far this yr he's been great, props to him,as far as Suisham goes,I had been impressed but that 48 yarder he missed Sunday wasnt even close, thankfully that didnt bite us in the ass,but overall hes done a good job

Ive been very impressed with Forst, however, he started out this way last year too.

Swisher Sweet is pretty money on kick offs. Hasnt he missed 2 fg this year though

Re: Suisham & Frost Looking Good

Suishan has done very little to prove himself.....he can't seem to keep the ball straight...it always bites at the end of the kick.....but thank god he is getting distance on his kickoffs.....but still, he has in no way proven himself. Frost has been amazing.

Re: Suisham & Frost Looking Good

suisham is an average kicker, but has missed fg's in the last 2 games, Frost is getting above normal numbers, which is never bad

Re: Suisham & Frost Looking Good

Don't know what the league averages are for FGs, but I feel pretty good about Suish. And he had two TOUCHBACKS--how long has it been since we've had kickoffs for touchbacks? Seriously, I feel like we haven't done that in a long time.

Frost has been great. No complaints.

Re: Suisham & Frost Looking Good

Frost is awesome!!!

But Im a little worried about suisham. He does seem to have a helluva leg, as is evident from his kickoffs, but he seems to lose all his accuracy in his FG's beyond 45 yards. I am fairly happy with him, especially after the crazy shit we've had to go through with kickers in recent history, but I am worried about him winning games for us.

If a game ever comes down to a 45+ field goal in OT or no time left, I don't think he could get it done. And with our tendency to have close games, this could really bite us in the ass! I will be super pissed if we miss out on the playoffs, or lose a playoff game because of this!

But he is only 25, and kickers seem to get better with age, so even if this unlikely scenario comes to pass, Ill still want to see him here the next couple of years, he could end up being great for us!
