Re: What the hell happened?

At least JC made an almost heroic comeback, the ending sucked. They'll bounce back.

Re: What the hell happened?

Yeah, lets try to look at the positives here. After the Giants went up 7, we really rebounded and started playing better.

If not for that one play by Burress, the Giants may only get a FG. If we weren't chasing 7, the offense was in position for FG attempts twice.

Yeah, the D was bad, but not unfixable. The offense had very few plays and only the passes were remarkably unsuccessful. Passing efficency fluctuates anyway, so why worry?

Anyway, theres your positive dose of the day.

Hard to find any positives after blowing a 14-point lead at HOME in the second half to a winless team. Portis couldn't even be in the last series because of the dropped pass and fumble. I hope we can rebound quickly. The bye comes at a bad time. We need to go deep every other play against Detroit.

a productive, time-consuming offense will fix the defense...they were just tired from being on the field too long.

How did that happen?

I'm trying to get my head turned back forward. I'm not sure which way it started spinning in the 3rd qtr. I wish it was a dream....

Hail the bye week
we need it

and who the hell calls for the deep ball on first down twice or three times in a row when it is a tooth and claw game. Can Saunders, and let Gibbs call the plays....

pitiful and embarrASSing

my phone is on fire
WTF! ?

I feel your pain, but how is this different than the "what the hell happened" thread?

Re: How did that happen?

They took the second half off. Uninspired play, lethargic performances, and as usual, in game after game, the Giants suck, and suck, and suck, and suck, and suck against everyone else until they play Washington -- then Eli Manning morphs into his brother, the pitiful Giants secondary turns into Hall of Famers, and the Redskins cash in their chips.

The New York Giants are charmed when they play the Washington Redskins.

They didn't play well enough to win.

End of story, see ya in October.

Re: What the hell happened?

The season is not gone. Look at the Chargers, St. Luis, New Orleans, Chicago. They have bigger problems then us. So we lose our first game of the year. Did we honestly expect an undefeated season. Yes, we gave the game away, but we need to relax and go easy on Gibbs. Anyway, I am actually going to blame alittle of this game on we the crowd, where were we when we needed to be there?

Well, whose fault is that?

Somewhat Campbell's sure, but mostly its only their fault for giving away first downs like candy all half.

We ran 6 offensive plays in the third quarter. Campbell missed on two passes, scrambled once, and had a -4 yard completion to Portis. Not good, but that seems harmless when you consider that in the first three drives of the half, the defense gave up something like 160 yards and 2 TDs. If they were tired, its because they couldn't get off the field.
