Redskins rookie safety LaRon Landry seperated Eagles receiver Kevin Curtis from the ball with a solid hit as the ball arrived. The fourth-down incompletion at the 5-yard-line gave the ball back to Washington, which then went into the victory formation and kneeled a pair of times to end the game.
