Serious Question:Well Roger Be a Great CB for us?..
K guys i saw him this year for the past 2 weeks he didn't let go of a big play and his tackle ability in stopping the run is impressive so far.I guess the teaching of Green and Saunders really helped since i have a good felling he'll be having 8 INT this year. And when he does Broncos would stop saying we got rubbed and With Smoot to for sure start next year (OR maybe this year if Rogers sucks)than will be set up.Of course drafting a CB in the 3rd or 4th would be smart for next year.
But Rogers would be having his best CB year this year. YouTube - Carlos Rogers Out of all the Redskins Highlight for players he ends up with the best.....................Even do Taylor 04-year with the Thugshbone is tempting And if not than we got this guy too take his place . Fred Smoooooooooooooooooooooooooooot Video

Re: Serious Question:Well Roger Be a Great CB for us?..
I think Rogers can be a solid #2. They still have him 12 yards off the line of scrimage sometimes, though. I don't get that. Speaking of solid #2s...
Also, the teaching of Green and Saunders? I don't get that part. I haven't been rubbed either so, yes, the Broncos should stop saying that. I think what you mean is that, Carlos is serviceable if the rest of the defense plays well. He's a role player. I guess, I would be disappinted but, CBs are so hit and miss. Not everyone will be a HOFer. We hit with Green and Bailey, missed with Tom Carter, Darrel Pounds, and now Carlos Rogers. Of those three I would say Carlos has the potential to be the least disappointing. He does tackle well. He really just needs to catch the ball. And cover better. That's all.

Darrel Green and Deion Sanders. I thought you meant Al Saunders. I was all like, does Greg Williams know about this?

I would be interested to see any links to sites or articles showing that Green and Sanders trained Carlos.

Re: Serious Question:Well Roger Be a Great CB for us?..
I'd like to think he's going to be great but he doesn't seem to have 'it' that the greats have.. As soon as you saw Champ, you knew he had 'it'. Deion had 'it', Darrell Green had 'it'. Ed Reed has 'it', Laron Landry has 'it'.
There's an intangible, a swagger, a tendency to be in the right spot and make the right play.. Him dropping 6 interceptions last year means he's mostly in the right spot but the difference between good and great is making those plays. The dropped INT against Seattle in the playoffs in '05 is a play that a great player turns into a game changing TD, a good player breaks up the play and it's 2nd down.. I think he will be a solid #2, giving up as many plays as he makes but he will never achieve greatness. I truly hope that I am wrong.

Re: Serious Question:Well Roger Be a Great CB for us?..
I'm not sure that Rogers ever actually trained with DG and Deion. I think that Rogers will be a very good CB. Not sure about great though. From what I've seen, he seems to play a lot better when Springs is on the field with him. But he's not the same player when lined up across the likes of a Harris or Wright.
Springs, on the other hand, doesn't seem to miss a beat (when healthy) no matter who he's lined up across. That's what, to me, separates the great from the very good

They need to rub that stick um stuff all over his hands and arms before every game because the dude is unable to catch a football. I really hope he worked on that this offseason because he could turn out to be a very good player.

Re: Serious Question:Well Roger Be a Great CB for us?..
I don't think Rogers will ever be GREAT for us, but I think he will be a pretty good #2 for us for years to come. I just don't think that Rogers is #1 CB material.

The answer is, yes he will.
Rogers will be beast this year! And since a certain someone is gone, I win my bet by default!

Isn't Roger a our Outside Line Backer?
And I thought people usually called him Rocky.
