Skins/Steelers Preseason
Hey guys, im going to the skins steelers pre-season game with my girlfriend whose a diehard steelers fan (ive been trying to get her to convert to the skins for 2 years now but to no avail ) I havent been to fedex in a while and was just wondering what you all would choose. Im workin on a pretty slim budget being a broke college kid, anyway.. Im goin with either lower level in the corners or 400 level like 50 yard line, just wanted some opinions on which you think the better seats would be.
Edit: If this thread is in the wrong place i apologize and feel free to move it.

Re: Skins/Steelers Preseason
they are both completely different experiences, high up 50 you will get to see the whole game while the corner tour will get to see the endzone but a lot of close up action that is really cool. If i had to choose i would say 400's 50 just becuase you would be able to see the whole game, I honestly dont know how the view is from up there but i have been in the corner LL (remember that seahawks game when their kicker hit the uprights I was on that side and really close but if i was on the other side i would have been a little annoyed i would not have been able to see that.) Its hard to tell yards gained from that angle and you can miss big breakaway playes sometimes so if someone can give you a reading on the view form up top and you can still see the action then thats what I would go with.
Sorry about being disorganized in this post just late and going to bed and wanted someone to give you atleast one perspective.

Re: Skins/Steelers Preseason
i'm going to the game and have upper level 40-50 yardline. I like it up there. You get a good view of the field and get to see everything going on. Then again you can see what is going on down lower too but it is a little harder. I've never been in the club level but i imagine it is the best of both worlds.

Re: Skins/Steelers Preseason
As long as the seats are not obstructed always choose the lowers. I have tickets in section 129 and love it. It is in the corner of the endzone but I wouldn't trade that to sit up in the 400s for anything. I hope you enjoy the game either way. GO SKINS!

Re: Skins/Steelers Preseason
the only bad thing about the higher up seats is for those of us like myself with leg/back issues and the long ass walk up and then back down after being seated off and on for almost 3 1/2-4 hours. but the view does provide a clear view of everything except u can occasionally miss a flag thrown, a fumble, or bad call until shown on the jumbo screen.

Re: Skins/Steelers Preseason
Take the seats closer to the 50s. Trust me you can't see much from the corner seats other than when a team scores on that endzone, which there is a chance that might not even happen.

Re: Skins/Steelers Preseason
I've had seats in both levels. My upper 3rd row deck seats were on the 15 yard line. I thought it was too far from the action, but that was in comparison to my seats at RFK. Although I could see everything, I couldn't hear the band well. For the full Redskins experience, you have to hear Hail To The Redskins!
Someone already pointed out the long walk to the upper deck. There are escalaters that take you all the way up -- and a long line to use them (no big deal). My lower deck seats are in the end zone and one section over from the Redskins band (a bonus). The sight lines are great. I only use my binoculars to look at the cheerleaders. Even when the action is on the other side of the field, the view was better imo than from the upper deck. I can't speak of the perspective from the endzone corner. If price is no obsticle, get the lower level seat. |

Re: Skins/Steelers Preseason
If it were me, I'd probably take closer to the 50 upper deck than LL end zone...sat in both, and between being able to see more as well as the atmosphere, I prefer the upper deck.

Re: Skins/Steelers Preseason
I much prefer the downward viewing angle you get from the 400 level. Being higher up let's you see the whole play develop. Take the 50's at the 400 level.

Re: Skins/Steelers Preseason
I went ahead and took the 50's on the upperdeck. Thanks for the input guys. I was trying to base a decision based off of where i sit at WVU home games since i havent been to fedex in forever, and personally i like sitting on the 50 yrd line upper deck opposed to a LL corner but I was trying to take into consideration that at Fed EX how much higher up it is in the 400 level than at mountaineer field.

I'm curious to hear what it's like to date a non-Redskins fan!
