12ths Top 5 Warpathers

Now this list shouldn’t be confused with my top 5 favorite Warpathers. There are only about one or two of you here that I actually like, so it wouldn’t be that long of a list anywayJ

This is the list of 12ths top 5 Warpathers that if I were starting a football team, these individuals possess some endearing and ethical qualities that I would, well, build a team on. I guess if I had to re-title this thread, it would be "five Warpathers that will fight their guts out and they’re pretty damn smart too!" Let’s get to it, shall we.

Whenever you’re building a franchise for the ages there are one or two positions that must be settled right off the bat. It’s either going to be a franchise running back or a franchise quarterback. But because we rarely agree on anything here for five minutes straight, I’ve decided that my Warpath franchise would be built on a franchise talent scout. Yep, a goddam talent scout!

Talent Evaluator: We have the best and most qualified experts around. So for the position of scout, I’m picking Gtripp. Not only is Gtripp smart and young, but he’ll fight his guts out for the team! Gtripp’s post generally consists of no less than 500 words, there’s usually some statistical facts to support his stance, and they’re generally substantive.

While the run of the mill scouts usually show up at the scouting combine with the masses, Gtripp observes from a remote location via internet. (cost effective)

I was most impressed with Gtripp's ability during this year’s combine when most scouts timed Calvin Johnson/Lions at 4.35/40, while Gtripp had Johnson clocked at a 4.5/40. After much consideration from Roger Goodell, it was later determined that Gtripp took into consideration wind velocicty, algorithms, and other circumstances, that under normal playing conditions, no way in hell Johnson runs a 4.35/40 every Sunday. Great job, Gtripp!

Crowd Control: You know, I’ve come to realize every good team needs someone to control the masses and give the loved ones a good kick in the rear occasionally. Now that Warpath is on the map, newbies tend to show up and want star type salary and treatment. They tend to show up to clutter our site, but it seems we do a damn good job of either scaring the hell out of them or we let them know everyone plays for vet minimum around here! So Matty, you’re the man! You and your “staff” know how and when to apply the rules and keep things tight! How in the hell could you do this day in and day out? I mean we just show up for practice occasionally and then go home. Boy you must really love the Redskins! Seriously!

Coach: I really struggled on this one. At least five of you could have taken this hands down, but I had to roll with Schneed10. I feel a coach must embody a rare combination of talents and attributes. Schneed has the unique ability of combining intellect along with that old school “get in your face” grit; He really is the dude you love to hate, and he don’t care what you think about it! He can be down right intimidating too!

Schneed, however, does have a team first attitude, which is important for a leader, and is generally willing to see the other side to things…even if it’s the team owner he disagrees with at the time. Which leads me to who I chose as our owner….

Owner: I figure, what other way could Hessy kick his ass and have the upper hand unless she was owner! Yep, Hessy was the choice. What other female could stand in the middle of the locker room and look at all those naked asses every single day?

But she doesn’t hesitate to come down and chat with the boys after a big win too. Have you guys ever seen “Any Given Sunday” when Cameron Diaz and Al Pacino are split on who to play at quarterback? Hessy wants to play the guy with the aging arm and good hair, Schneed is looking toward the future and wants to play the kid. Both are stubborn as hell, bossy, and opinionated, but are equally passionate about winning! What a great winning combination.

Fans: I guess that leaves the rest of you sons a bitches. Actually, you guys are the real 12thMan (shameless plug) and I'm happy to be on this team! I don’t care how many top draft picks come and go, there will always be the fans on opening day. There will be another Laron Landry, another Jason Campbell, or coach “whoever” ten years from now. But you know what, Warpath will still be going strong with the same army of dedicated fans whose loyalty is unmatched in all the universe! Here’s to the fans! Now let’s go kick some ass this year!!!

What happens when the team limps to a 2-6 start with Mark Brunell under center and you want to replace him, but Gtripp gives you a hundred page synopsis of why Brunell is the greatest quarterback to ever toss a football?

So, um, is GTripp Vinny Cerrato?

Can I play the Karl "Don't F with Us, 'Cause We'll F with you for no good reason" Swanson role? Or did you have someone else in mind for that?
