Comcast sports on the West Coast.

For the past 4 years I have been able to watch the Comcast shows sports night and Redskins post game on Direct TV. This year as soon as Sports night and the training camp show start it goes black! I am so pissed off that I don't have accesses to those shows anymore. Has anyone else had this problem? I sure hope they won't be blacked out all year.

I can't imagine why they would be blacked out. The whole reason for having that package was to watch Tony Mcgee. I mean, you don't need TBDSSP on 35 different stations at once do you?

No the only reason I paid extra for the "spots package" is to watch the Redskins stuff. I can watch NFL network on my regular ch lineup. And I pay an extra $250 to watch all the games. I can't understand why Direct TV would start blacking out the Redskins shows this year.

It's a mytery to me. SmootSmack may have some insight here. It may have something to do with the Redskins themselves and their proprietary view of their brand. Or it may be that Comcast doesn't want one of it's competitors using it's original content to boost their sales.

I think it was most likely a technical glitch. There's no reason really for it to be blacked out

Yeah, well, with the league allowing media outlets to show only 45 second clips the blackout may not be a glitch. I'm really starting to loath the NFL and it's draconian policies.

Re: Comcast sports on the West Coast.

I came home from work last night and my DVR had taped inside training camp, and sports night. I guess it was just a glitch.

My prayers where answered... Thank you God!

Re: Comcast sports on the West Coast.

I had this problem with NBA TV. Whenever I tried to watch the Wizards summer league games it would go black but as soon as the game was over everything would be back to norm.

Then I would have to catch the game on Comcast sports channel 3 and 4 hours later. I dont know why it does this.
