Brooks Works Out For The Skins?!
This is a Yahoo! article that states a terribly-wonderful random note from Redskins Camp.
What is this all about? ..... As for Dillon and Brooks, Dillon figures to have the most impact if he returns. Agent Steve Feldman said Dillon afford to retire and live comfortably in his home on the beach in Malibu, Calif. Perhaps, but Dillon is the best veteran running back available and teams generally need backs by the end of training camp. Brooks has been on the mend since suffering a stomach injury last season with the Oakland Raiders. He had a workout with the Washington Redskins a month ago, according to his agent, but has gotten little interest. That's odd for a quarterback of his physical talent. If healthy, Brooks would be one of the top backups in the league. Missing in action - NFL - Yahoo! Sports PLease, DISCUSS OBJECTIVELY!!!

Re: Brooks Works Out For The Skins?!
I'd cut Brunell and Collins for Brooks. Brooks is younger and more atheletic. He gives uss experience and quite a bit more talent from the back-up QB slot. Then give the third string to Palmer. Lets face it...Brunell is completed finished and we are paying Collins way to much. We can probably get Brooks pretty cheaply. What do you guys think?

I think you are insane if you think that Aaron Brooks is better than Mark Brunell.

Re: Brooks Works Out For The Skins?!
No thanks as to either guy. Brooks might be physically gifted, but he has never shown the ability to effectively manage an offense on a consistent basis. Dillon is old and we're stacked at RB.

Re: Brooks Works Out For The Skins?!
Wow Brooks would be awesome on the Redskins! It would only take him eleven years to learn Saunders playbook. An erratic underachiever who doesn't take care of the football. Now that sounds like a Joe Gibbs QB.

Brooks is HORRIBLE. Id take my chances with almost any backup in the league before Aaron Brooks, he BLOWS.

Re: Brooks Works Out For The Skins?!
I'd take Reggie Brooks over Aaron Brooks as a backup QB.

Re: Brooks Works Out For The Skins?!
lets just pray that number 8 never makes it on the field again. His best days are long gone. He was terrible last year. Sorry my mistake he did complete 22 in a row with 16 of them behind the line of scrimmage. Love that arm. Really put alot of fear into the defense.

Here are Brooks stats: Aaron Brooks statistics - pro-football-reference.com Keep in mind, he's never been a winner. In his last 3 seasons, he has averaged a meezly comp. % of only around 56.5%. Over that same span (37 games) he has: 37 td's 41 ints. His numbers were inflated in NO because they had nothing else, he was exposed as a Raider. I'd take Brunell over Brooks any day of the week. ps- there's a reason Brooks was never an all pro.

Re: Brooks Works Out For The Skins?!
I've always wondered what really happened to him. He had amazing talent! He had a great rookie season for us (over 1k in yards and 4.8 YPC) then he just seemed to disappear.
He was a flat out stud at Notre Dame...he and Jerome Bettis made one of the best backfields in NCAA history.

Re: Brooks Works Out For The Skins?!
First of all...Mark sucks!!!! we need to cut and run..as far as possible. Brooks..is young and could sit the pine behind Jason very easily. Forget what Mark did..THEN...what has he done Lately? The best thing he could do is retire...save us some money.
