Adding five to the "70 greatest"
With the 75th Anniversary upon us. What five Redskins would you add to the "70 Greatest"?
My five are: Ron Saul (Grandpa Hog) Chris Samuels (the Pro Bowls alone) Clint Didier (as a TE he could catch and block) Jon Jansen (a favorite of mine) Joe Bugel (coach) I hope this is fun for all. Last edited by Skinsfan1967; 07-14-2007 at 04:24 PM. Reason: spelling |

Samuels
Jansen Portis Moss Arrington Portis and Moss haven't really been Redskins long enough to qualify, but for all the joy they brought us during the '05 playoff run, I'll put them among our greats. |

Chris Samuels
Jon Jansen The only two guys who have been on the team 7 years or longer. History with a team is a must IMO so right now those are the only two that remotely qualify. Hopefully Portis, Moss, and Thomas will be with us for years to come.

Re: Adding five to the "70 greastest"
This is a good thread. I didn't check it out because I thought it was something different.
I agree with the others who said Samuels and Jansen. In addition, I think you could justify putting LaVar and Champ on the list. They were both drafted by us, both were/are exceptional players, and both were here for a significant part of their careers. BTW, "greatest" is misspelled in the thread title.

Re: Adding five to the "70 greastest"
its hard to put anyone on the list , other then Jansen and Samuels, because of free agency. everyone comes and goes. and good morning gigitty

Re: Adding five to the "70 greastest"
Chip Lohmiller. He was the last steady kicker we had and he left in '95. Kinda sad if you think about it.....

Re: Adding five to the "70 greatest"
No current Redskins players deserve the honor. since someone has to be added I'd say Joe Bugel.
