Rage saves the best for last
Zack de la Rocha crouched in front of Brad Wilk's drum kit and surveyed the nearly 60,000 people at his feet. All around him crested a noise that had been bottled up for seven years. The crowd clamored at the sound of Tom Morello's guitar flashing over the stormy rhythms of Wilk and bassist Tim Commerford. It was Sunday in the desert, and Rage Against the Machine was back, its kinetic energy washing over the field as the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival came to a rabble-rousing end.

Re: Rage saves the best for last
This is crazy... I just received this email from my homeboy who was at the show:
"Ok, I know there was some joking around about this subject on the Coachella message boards prior to last weekend, but one of my friends who stayed in our condo was stabbed with what the doctor's said looked like a needle. It got really bruised and swollen. Before he went to the Emergency room to get it checked out he said he felt as if someone stabbed him in the arm during RATM. He felt and didn't see any blood so he figured it may have been a bug bite or something. When he got back it was about the size of a nickel and extremely purple with a darker purple center. The doctor's have the results but won't tell him over the phone. He's currently waiting for the results to be faxed to his doctor in Montreal. I'll send an update when I hear something." I seriously thought these stories were urban legend... and the fact that the results aren't discussed over the phone is even scarier. |

Re: Rage saves the best for last
It's hard to imagine they just wheel out a finished studio album like that. Live release would make sense. Or maybe they are just going to announce they are beginning recording of a new album or something. I haven't heard anything to that effect, just a guess. Still, all Rage news is good news as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah I doubt it would be a studio release, but I've read that they've been jamming a bit lately so a future studio release could be in the early stages.

Re: Rage saves the best for last
I liked Audioslave, but Rage is on another level. Especially in these turbulent times with this never ending war, we could really use some Rage.
