Cleveland will turn it around

I'm happy for Cleveland and their fans...I think they had a good draft and they are on their way to turning that franchise around.
Getting Joe Thomas and Brady Quinn is something they only thought about in their wettest of dreams. But they also got a good DB in Eric Wright (UNLV), and I've heard good things about DE Melila Purcell (Hawaii).
Add to the draft, they signed RB Jamal Lewis, and OL Eric Steinbach and they are looking good. They most certainly upgraded at a lot of positions, and should easily see close to a .500 season this year.

To me there are only 3 teams with die hard fans, by die hard, I mean their persona is wrapped up in their fans. That's of course, Washington, Green Bay, and Cleveland. It's good to see Cleveland making a game of it again.

They're looking good on paper, we'll see how things play out for real.

Yeah, if any team's fans know that a team looks good on paper it's SKins fans. How many times have we looked go on paper just to be disappointed?

I am actually not a fan of Jamal Lewis...they will need to upgrade there. There is a reason Baltimore let him walk away.

Is LeCharles Bentley done for good? If not, they have potentially three Pro Bowl players on their line.

I think you can add in KC and Denver too. They have great NFL fans in those cities.

I'll go out on a limb (not much of a limb) and say Quinn is going to have a very good NFL career. Good luck to the Browns, they've been bad for too long.

Last I heard he got one of Cleveland's patented staff infections and it had caused a lot more damage to his knee. It sounded like he was very likely done at worst and barely able to play at best. In any case I don't think he can be considered pro bowl material anymore.

I have a close friend who lives just outside of Cleveland and he's a huge Browns fan. He's said he almost came during the first round of the draft. That city and it's fans are at a fever pitch right now. I'm happy for them.

Haha! Thats hilarious! Wish the skins wouldve traded down or added more picks.

Re: Cleveland will turn it around

eric wright is a steal in the third round. he was SC's lockdown corner a few years ago. if he doesn't do anything boneheaded (ie, get caught selling 136 tabs of ecstasy on campus- that's what led to his transfer to UNLV), he'll be their top corner in a few seasons.

If they sign Darius Walker they'll have a better chance of making it through this year. Recently I heard that the Cowboys have already set their sights on Darren McFadden, the RB from Arkansas who has been deemed as an LT type back. I know Walker isn't the solution at RB but I feel he can be to Browns as Leon Washington was to the Jets last year.

I think the Bears signed Walker

There are plenty of cities that love their teams, but very few that live and breathe their teams (ie: Washington, Green Bay, and Cleveland). Denver loves their broncos, no doubt about it, but they also have a very strong love for their Avalanche. K.C. has some great fans, but not those top 3 I already mentioned IMO.

McFadden could be the #1 pick at some point. I'm sure there will be plenty of teams looking at him.
