Darrell Jackson Vs Brandon Lloyd

The 49ers are sending a 4th round pick to the Seahawks for Darrell Jackson (7 years 441 receptions 6445 yards 47tds) the Redskins gave the 49ers a 3rd round pick last year and a 4th round pick this year for Brandon Lloyd (4 years 128 receptions 1875 yards 13 tds). God I wish we had a general manager.

how old is jackon? im not ready to give up on lloyd just yet

Well, I'd take Jackson over Lloyd too, but wasn't Lloyd a restricted free agent? That would explain the extra draft pick we had to give up. Plus, Lloyd is 3 years younger than Jackson. So in that sense, he had more value to the 49ers than Jackson did to the Seahawks.

Stop rationalizing. The Skins gave up too much for Lloyd (and Brunell and Portis etc etc etc.)

I'm giving Brandon Lloyd one more season to prove himself. If a bum like Albert Connell can turn it on for a season then this guy should be able to do the same thing as long as Campbell progresses.

Now, would I like to have that 3rd and 4th round draft choice back? Sure.

But this organization's M.O. is to make the deal sweeter than it ever had to be for the other side. With Lloyd, we might as well get as much as we can out of him before making him walk the plank.

Also Jackson is a hell alot better than lloyd. Never a problem on or off the field a team player not selfish

does anyone else here remember Jackson coming back from a neck injury in the game against Washington and practically single handedly knocking the Skins out of the playoffs(over 100 yds rec in the 2nd HALF)?

Give me Jackson any day!

While Darrell Jackson does have better career stats, I hope no one is forgetting the dropped ball epidemic that he suffered just a couple of years ago. It also helps to have a Pro Bowl QB throwing you the ball with a Pro Bowl offensive line giving you time to complete your route and I guess having a Pro Bowl running back to keep the safeties honest helps some what too. Having only 3 out of 7 full seasons isn't all that impressive either as far durability issues go.
