Landry or Okoye
Redskins Still Debating No. 6 Pick - washingtonpost.com
Hopefully this article is saying we are focused on these two players or trading down. As you know i want Landry but i would be happy with either player but no one else (unless CJ falls to 6th). First: A strong secondary enables you to blitz more, Landry can Blitz also. Second: A strong line makes the secondary better, Okoye will definelty help. That is why no matter who we draft out of these two will help out significantly. The debate should be are we more conformtable with Prileou (sp) and Stoutmire or Griffin, Golston, and Montgomery. |

Re: Landry or Okoye
Landry or Okoye are both studs. I think we need Okoye more but Landry would not make me upset at all.
We can't loose in this situation. If Landry and Okoye are on the board at # 6, Atlanta could swap our picks with their 8th. They are very interested in Landry. We could pick up a second rounder and still nail Okoye. Could come out of this really nice! |

I still think Minnesota would jump all over him if Okoye is there. There's no doubt in my mind that if we trade down two spots or more, we'll lose out on BOTH Okoye and Landry. Then we'll have to select from the second-tier guys like Carriker, Jarvis Moss, or Jamal Anderson. |

It could happen! Vikes need Offense. Petersen could be there at 7 for them. |

We're not speaking the correct language here....If we are, for some reason it's not getting through.

Re: Landry or Okoye
Thank God. Then we get to have the conversations about when do we think that ________________ will be starting? What will be his stats this year?

Re: Landry or Okoye
I dont really watch college football, so I have never witnessed Landry play, but from what I hear, he is more of a 8th man in the box type of safety, and is not the best in coverage. I dont think we really need 2 hard hitting safeties (ie Taylor and Arch). I think that DT is more important for us now. Also, Griffin might be cut within a couple years or so while Taylor will probably not be, so to have that stud at DT is important down the road. Id take Okoye.
