self-imposed ban on draft talk
Ok I can't take it anymore. I'm officially exhausted with posting/reading about the draft. Is it just me or has the pre-draft hype been insane this year?
Post here if you want to join me in refraining from all draft discussion until the draft. |

Re: self-imposed ban on draft talk
I have been all over the off-topic lately because I cant take anymore draft talk. Unfortunately at this time a year there is nothing else to talk about when it comes to football. Oh well. Only a few days left I guess.

Re: self-imposed ban on draft talk
i don't think it would be as bad if people would refrain from all the ridiculous rumors. just because some so called expert lays out a scenario, its not cause for panic

Re: self-imposed ban on draft talk
I don't think I can resist throwing my .02 in here and there, but I know what you mean.
This year's draft talk seems more intense than usual, and it appears to increase every year. I don't remember getting this worked up over the #5 pick back in '04 with Sean Taylor. I guess that was more cut and dry than it is this time, where it looks like the possiblities with our pick could go anywhere. I do think they should move the date up earlier in April though. Maybe that would help. Waiting until practically May for the Draft is maddening. |

Re: self-imposed ban on draft talk
WAIT!!!!! OMFG!!!! I just heard a guy who listened to some guy on ESPN and he said that the guy said that the Redskins may trade for CJ or may trade down for more picks. This guy also said that guy said that we could stay pat and draft Okoye. Or, he said we could trade up for Russell, which is plausible since we worked him out.
I too am getting tired of the draft. I can't wait for it to be over. |

I'm on board 100% with this one. All this speculation is more than one can bear. I'm content to wait and see what happens as opposed to a lot of talk about something that's probaly so far from being real that it's not worthy of discussion.

Re: self-imposed ban on draft talk
I'm with you Matty. I'm at the point where I want Saturday to get here not for the draft, but so I don't have to hear all this ridiculously repetitive analysis. I posted this on another thread yesterday, but it works here to:
I think ESPN is waaaay too obsessed with the draft. They have had 2 hours worth of draft specials on EVERY DAY for the past week, and we're still 5 days away. I mean how much is there really to talk about? ESPN is annoying right now, and I'm SO SICK of McShay and Kiper I could puke. As far as this site goes, I think we're all just obsessed with football and the Redskins, and right now, as it relates to football, there just isn't anything else to talk about. I am checking in periodically this week to see if there are any new threads, but I don't think I can handle any more draft analysis. I typed a few posts earlier today, and it was excruciating. What if what if what if what if.... What if I just don't talk about the draft until Saturday?

Re: self-imposed ban on draft talk
Geezzz...what a breath of fresh air - seriously!
How much more can we regurgitate the same hand full of names and possible scenarios? Trade up or trade down? I'm on board with this! |
