Brad Badger Released by Raiders

The Oakland Raiders have released veteran guard, Brad Badger.

Should the Redskins think about signing him?

I say sure, barring injury and for vet minimum, of course.

Re: Brad Badger Released by Raiders

Normally I'd be setting the "if they can't make it on such and such" crowd straight...but in this case they are 100% correct.

I don't know much about Starke, and yes Jacoby was a free agent. But Bostic, Grimm, and May were all All-Americans. May and Grimm were drafted in the first couple rounds I believe, Bostic I don't recall.

But the main difference is they were all young. Badger would be entering his 12th season. We already have plenty of stop-gap veterans. We need an infusion of youth on the O-line

Re: Brad Badger Released by Raiders

Draft a guard or wait til June 1. Unless we trade our #6 pick for more lower round picks, wait til June and pick up a FA guard up on his first contract renewal to get a guy that will be around long enough to make a true impact.

Wasn't Badger a backup during the Turner/Frerotte era?

Re: Brad Badger Released by Raiders

I dont see a prob with signing him, most of you assume he sux b/c he was with the raiders. if russ grimm played for tampa bay in his time rather than us... would tampa have a great line? no. i hope we do sign badger...and badger, fabini, wade and tucker all duke it out and we can always release who doesnt fit during training camp and pre season. it wouldnt hurt
