Definition of our VP of Football Operations
I ran into this word earlier today. I found an uncanny resemblence in the derivation of this word and a person in our front office. See if you can spot it.
This certainly explains a lot. Lets hope that there are no quacks to influence our selection come draft day. -------------- American Heritage Dictionary - Cite This Source char·la·tan (shär'lə-tən) Pronunciation Key n. A person who makes elaborate, fraudulent, and often voluble claims to skill or knowledge; a quack or fraud. [French, from Italian ciarlatano, probably alteration (influenced by ciarlare, to prattle) of cerretano, inhabitant of Cerreto, a city of Italy once famous for its quacks.] char'la·tan'ic (-tān'ĭk), char'la·tan'i·cal adj., char'la·tan·ism, char'la·tan·ry n. |

Re: Definition of our VP of Football Operations
I think he is referring to "the city of Cerreto, once famous for for its quacks."

Re: Definition of our VP of Football Operations
You're right...that was poorly executed. I suck...I'm not good at the delivery.
Cerrato last name was supposed to be the derivation of the Italian city where quacks are known to come from, thus calling Vinny a quack...I'm a quack...I suck at teasing the delivery because it got all confused. Sorry for wasting your guys time. I'll try to just deliver the punch instead of teasing it...damn, I suck! |

Re: Definition of our VP of Football Operations
On a side note since this thread has already been hijacked to crap, what's up with the user name Skinny Tee? That's fairly unique, any reason for it?
