Re: Eh Yo, Skins On The Clock
It seems like every article I read says the Briggs deal could still happen. This is not the vote of confidence I envisioned for Rocky this year. Glad Holdman's gone, though.

Re: Eh Yo, Skins On The Clock
Tick,Tock. I agree with most points, potent 1-2 punch in backfield.
Dock was the weak link, and got overpayed. Not to sure about Fletch losing a step, his stats don't reflect a MLB that's lost a step. Good depth at corner is now established. And IMO DE should be our primary focus, followed by a DT.

Re: Eh Yo, Skins On The Clock
Ugh, this article reiterates that the Briggs deal could still happen. I'm gonna reiterate that I hope it doesn't (unless we also get a 3rd rd pick).
And I would really like to see us trade with Atlanta for their 8th pick so they can move up and get Landry, we could get Okoye at 8 and pick up the Falcons 3rd round selection. Shouldn't this thread be in the draft forum?

Re: Eh Yo, Skins On The Clock
There is no way we should do anything until draft day. I think our pick might interest a lot of people if the picks fall the right way. We could drop a few picks and still get a really good D-lineman. There is also an outside chance that Quinn could fall as low as 9-10, like Matt Leinart did last year.

Why do I keep getting the Falcons when I click on "Watch" for the Redskins?

Re: Eh Yo, Skins On The Clock
I think our defense has been vastly improved over the product that was on the field last year, and while I agree with most everyone that we should not make the Briggs deal having another great LB would not be to bad. I really want one of the DE in the draft. Draft a DT after next year considering we drafted 2 lat year and they did show some improvement through out the season. Cedric Golston still could be a good DT in this league if he continues to improve his game. I also think that Wynn and Daniels are on he downside of thier careers.

Griffin, when healthy, along with Carter are the only veterans on the D-line that would command more than the vet. minimum on most teams. We did draft two DT's last year, and I'm sure their potential for development will influence our draft stragedy where the D-line is concerned. Without a doubt we have both age and injury concerns along the defensive front and some upgrades should be welcomed.

Re: Eh Yo, Skins On The Clock
Our defense will not improve untill we get some Dlinemen. We need a pass rusher more than anything. THe interesting thing is there is a unique player in this draft who can both rush the passer amd penetrate to stuff the run and his name is Omobi.
