That's a difficult one Quake because you have to take into consideration the staggered ages of the members here. So when you say all-time, that covers a vast amount of time, or are you asking just what one's age will permit them to remember?

Re: what is the most rememberable single game redskin performance of all time?
I have many , many great Redskin memories, but one game I will always remember was the 1966 game against the NYG at DC Stadium. It was a 72-41 game which the Giants won. At the time it was the highest scoring game in the history of the NFL. In that game, the Redskins scored every way one could imagine, They scored on offense defense, special teams, and a fumble recovery that went for more than 70 yds. It was truly a memorable game to watch despite coming up on the losing end.

I meant the Giants on the losing end, not the Redskins.

Re: what is the most rememberable single game redskin performance of all time?
I would have to say SB XXII, Doug Williams, 2nd Qtr. I was stationed at Yokota AB in Japan and had a roomful of "anti-Skins" fans giving me grief at 10-0. I ran them all out of the room before the end of the 2nd Qtr., the same way the DW and the Skins ran the Broncos out of the "Murph". 35-10 Skins at half.
You could also go with the O-Line same day, Timmy Smith had a record setting game, wasn't touched until he was 8-10 yds thru the holes, and was never heard from again. |

Re: what is the most rememberable single game redskin performance of all time?
SB XXII Timmy Smith was pretty impressive. Don't have the exact stat line but I know he ran for over 200yds and set the SB record for rushing yards, a record that still stands. I wasn't even 10 years old during that game and I remember it like it was yesterday.
I don't know if Moss two TDs against Dallas in 05 was the greatest single game performance, but man it was my favorite Redskins moment since the '92 SuperBowl when Rypien and co waxed the Bills... I like this thread. It's upbeat and takes some focus off all this Briggs/trading up stuff we have been beating to death lately.

Mark Brunell's NFL record of consecutive completions against Houston this past season.
:cheeky-sm I think the ones mentioned so far are spot-on: Riggins in the Super Bowl against the Dolphins Moss against the Cowboys Doug Williams in the Super Bowl against Denver
