Poker- the strip isn't too bad anywhere, in terms of low limit (i believe you can find 2-4 blinds at most places). i think alot of tourists like to try their luck on the strip, so i don't think you'll have too much heartbreak if you know how to play a little... then again, that also means lucky flops on terrible hands for nubes. I've played at the Monte Carlo, Mandalay and the Excalibur. Eats- cheap eats are everywhere, cuz it's Vegas. but if you can splurge on one meal, go to the Bellagio buffet- 35 bucks at dinner gets you all you can eat gourmet food. All you can eat alaskan king crab legs (already half peeled for your convenience) in drawn butter, prime rib, kobe beef, all types of different meats, international foods and individually plated desserts (the bread pudding is off the chain though). If you're not in vegas often, you should definitely check it out- 35 bucks may seem like a lot, but it's two or three hands at the blackjack table. Try to go during the hours b/t lunch and dinner to avoid the hour and a half line which will drag from 6 till 8. Sports books- the king of all sports books lies at Caesar's... good luck trying to find a place here this weekend though cuz of March Madness. Night clubs- the hot spot lately seems to be Pure at Caesar's. Ra at Luxor was the spot for a while before that. Rain at the Palms ain't bad. If you're still partying after 4, check out Drai's at the Barbary Coast. Be sure not to wear sneakers to most of these spots- there's a dress code at most night clubs. Gentlemen's clubs- The Sapphire and Spearmint Rhino are always poppin'... Cheetah's is a little less "classy", but fun nonetheless. Have fun dude! I'll be in Vegas in May for my 30th! |

If you think you are doing exceptionally well with the ladies, make sure you have a pocket full of cash to pay her.

I've never been, but I'm going in June. From what I've heard, you should go to In-and-out Burger at least once.

Re: fellas got any tips for vegas?
Ceasars and Mandalay Bay are the two best sports books but it will be difficult to find any room during March Madness. I will be there at the end of this month for a wedding and the Final Four on Sat (holy shit, that is going to be alot of fun!).
During these times like March Madness its VERY difficult to find low limit tables to play on. I usually play some blackjack, but probably will just blow my wad in the sports book this time around and hope I get lucky. Vegas is a GREAT place, you will love it and want to go back!

Re: fellas got any tips for vegas?
Decide ahead of time how much money your willing to loose then devided that by how many days you will be in Vegas. Keep this money each day seperate from other cash and stop when that days cash is gone. This way you will not get drunk and blow all your money the first day. I kept my cash in our rooms safe and every morning took out my gambeling money for the day and gave my girl friend the key to hide. I won a trip with my company and also won around $1,500. I broke even playing blackjack and hit big on the slots. If you play Blackjack you are playing against the dealer and not playing with the others at the table. That might sound dumb but some people will get pissed if you split certain cards or take a hit on something. They think your using up the cards and stuff like that but pay them no mind. Have a good time.

Re: fellas got any tips for vegas?
One other thing to keep in mind. If your winning stay at that table until you start to loose and then get up and walk before you blow your winnings. Most people just sit and loose what they won and thats what Vegas bets on us to do.
