Travis Fisher will visit Redskins park as well

Jason LaCanfora reported that CB Fisher will be in on Saturday. I really know little about him.

NFL.com - Travis Fisher

Those stats don't seem to be very impressive, and it's not like he's been playing in a division with a lot of great passing attacks (except for his team of course).

Re: Travis Fisher will visit Redskins park as well

2006 Scouting Report - Scouts Inc.
Grade: 70 | Key
Alert: D

Comment:
Fisher has excellent speed and quickness, smooth hips and the ability to be physical. He is smooth in his movements and can flip his hips in transition. He has good range to make up ground while the ball is in the air. He uses his hands effectively from press alignment. He can jam and re-route receivers at the line. He has excellent hands and ball skills. He shows very good recovery quickness on double moves. He is a dependable tackler after the catch. Fisher has been solid when healthy, but that hasn't been often--and he has the potential to be excellent. He has missed half his team's games the last two years, and his development surely has been stunted by his injuries. He needs to develop better instincts in off coverage and gives up too much cushion to the inside. He plays too much on his heels and needs to be quicker in his plant-and-drive. He grabs and holds downfield, playing the man instead of the ball too often. His effort and techniques are inconsistent.

What has his role the last 3 years been? Backup CB or injured? Seems to have started his career off pretty nicely but has started any more than 10 games in the past 3 years.

Well, if we sign him then I'll just predict right now by mid-October we'll be saying "Why did we let Kenny Wright go?"

Pasquarelli ranks Fisher no. 8 on his list of FA sleepers

"A five-year veteran with some feistiness to him, Fischer has been a good on-ball defender when healthy. Unfortunately, his history of injuries is going to be a factor, but he could be a No. 3 corner on a lot of rosters around the league."
